Your videos are great. This one in particular as when you opened the oil cap, there looks like wear on the cam lobe. Mine is like this and I was starting to worry, but it looks like there are others too so normal maybe? Doing the dpf today and your video was very useful. Good day. I'm having c200 cdi w204 651 at 160000km had bend conrod on cylinder 2 but was replaced. Now the car goes on limb mode after it drove with power from gear 1-2 den goes to limb, when you switch of and on again has power. Only with video u012087 csn that be the cause?

It varies we done a timing chain with guides broken at 70k miles 2016 e class, another case we look after a 2011 e class which has 220k miles still no rattle from the chain..

No, the first signs of the timing chain stretching on these engines is when you start the engine on cold startup there will be a rattle for 2-3 seconds and then the engine will sound normal, if you start hearing this rattle in the mornings when you first start it up that means the chain has stretched, the louder the rattle the more its stretched, if you don’t do nothing about it the timing could jump by one teeth and cause the engine to misfire, thats when you can do this check, but if it jumps a few teeth then say bye to your engine..

Ja das ist einfach und klar, aber bei steuerkette wechsel darf sich die Kurbellewelle unabhängig von Nockenwellen drehen? Bei steuerkette wechsel wird die Kurbelwelle gedreht und Nockenwellen nicht....Richtig?Die Nockenwellen würden ganze zeit mit speziell werkzeug blockiert. Meine frage: Können die Ventile dabei nicht die Kolben berühren? Oder gibt es bei om651 motor da noch Spielraum?

@@FromDeathToWorse hab meine Steuerkette selber gewechselt 220 cdi 170 ps 2012.vor 9 Monate und einfach die Nockenwellen rausgenommen und wieder eingebaut und die neu steuerkette eingebaut.Es ist ganz einfach und viel leichter Nockenwellen ausbauen wegen Nockenwellenräder (links gewinde) fest zu schauben.

No, if the guides are not broken then you can change it without taking engine out..

You should easily be able to turn the engine from the crankshaft pulley, we had it once where we couldn’t turn it and it was because the engine was seized, so good luck 🤞
