My cluster says “display defective Visit workshop” after I removed and reinstalled cluster everything works but message will not go away

This man does not seem to understand what continuity is in electrics / electronics . The issue with these connectors is at the ribbon cable / display interface ( where it is originally glued) . This area becomes resistive and results in a faded display because of the said increase in resistance. These are normally fixed just by a pressure 'touch' connection with a clean new ribbon cable, to give continuity. A replacement ribbon cable is the the best way to restore a '' good'' connection . I fixed mine with packing in the clamp mechanism holding the ribbon connection down. The ribbon cables are very likely good. Moving the display is disturbing the connection surfaces! is the clue conductive I doubt it , He does not seem to know what he is doing ?

To be fair. Those cables prolly aren't supposed to be bent that hard.(like such a sharp angle) Doesnt move when in car😅
