Mercedes EQB an SUV that's electic with seven seats, will they ban this one too?

Mercedes has been launching a lot of cars and most of them are from the EQ range the EQB is another one to add to the list but this one has seven seats!

Great review. Those back seats are certainly for occasional use and even then by the smaller passengers. This is certainly not a GLS replacement! This video also highlights the need for hotels to urgently install a charger or two.

The EQB is the electric GLB, so it's a couple classes down from the GLS. If you want to compare with a GLS, you will have to wait for the EQS SUV.

Very good review Bob,the problem with the knees is really a big one, to expensive and really Diesel is miles ahead, when you had the back cover in your hands I thought you were going to throw it in the bushes like Matt

The bane of anyone with a seven seater 🤣 the seats always get stuck coming up and either you go hulk on them or you give in and do what you did and move the middle row a little bit up.

Very similar boot problems as the Mitsubishi Shogun. I totally agree with your comment about building a car up based on electric rather than adapting an already designed model. They did this a few years ago as well. Great review

Bob did you run 10k, you sound out of breath? That boot leaves a lot to be desired, ID Buzz might be better option for 7 seats and space for camera bag. Not great advert for a 7 seater, but most only want occasional 7 seats - kids friends usually. All that faffing around with the extra seats, reminds me when we used to have a Serena, we always folded rear seats up into car - taking off rear head rests. when we moved house, we found, that we had left the head rests in the Garage at old house. As it had been seven years we let it go.

Nice video but a couple remarks. 5:50 a short USB-C to whatever- your-phone-needs cable will maybe cost €10 and easily solve your issue and avoid the hassle with your adaptor. 6:10 for the front seats this seems like a moot point because they are adjustable in height and it just looks like your seat is put too low for your size / leg length. Also putting front seat higher improves your visibility and will also improve the leg room for the passenger sitting behind you, which they would appreciate because there indeed you suffer from the high floor. 12:55 I think you will get 11kW at a 22kW charger. 16:50 0-60 is 8" but it sure feels quicker than that. 20:55 that sweet spot is only for ICE cars and has to do with the lesser efficiency due to internal frictions of the transmission. Without any other electrical consumers (AC/heating, lighting,...) EVs will be most economic at their slowest speeds. 21:15 so why would it take longer with an EV ? No one is driving ICE cars for best fuel economy either where your argument would apply just as well (an ICE will consume less at 90km/h than at 120km/h). Not sure why the whole EV community is so obsessed with efficiency and range.

In the words of a friendly drunk Irishman, « dis ker is total gobshiite ». How much? HOW MUCH for standard fit range anxiety? A family car with awful range. It gets better if you don’t use A/C, or the radio, or the heated seats or anything at all other than the steering wheel and the 2 pedals. My current car has 1100km range, uses 7l/100km mix cycle, takes 3 mins to ‘charge’ for another 1100km (and those ‘charge points’ are everywhere and I don’t need gps to find it). Electric cars or Hydrogen are likely the future but that future hasn’t arrived yet.
