Was able to test the updated version of EQS (450 4 matic) with the new 108,7 kWh (usable capacity) Amazing car, real Autobahn Range of over 500 km, Even with constant 160 km/h the consumption is not higher than 230 Wh/km The 4 matic has now a disconnect for the Front Motor. Below 120 km/h the comsuption is below 200 wh/km Amazing for a car with 2,7 t

The Merc infotainment looks ultramodern and extremely outdated at the same time Oo Everytime I configure a Mercedes here in Germany I am shocked by the prices. I can get an equal car from Audi / BMW for at least 20-30% less.

Personally I'd just not buy the merc evs except for the EQS? But for that price there are alot of options.

It did look like this car has Carbon ceramic brakes specced. It would be really interesting to see brake test with those.

It has the same average charge speed 10-80 as the Tesla Model S/X, but clearly much lower than Audi/Porsche

I know that this car is a big, fat and heavy SUV. But the consumption of ~200 Wh/km at 90 km/h seems quite high to me. Not to mention the prohibitive pricing.

The car can maintain 170kW upto 70% It does need a dark ui without blue hue and manual preconditioning option

The Mercedes user interface has never looked particularly modern, and yet, it's also ageing terribly. They need a top-to-bottom do-over, all the way from the interior design language, display positioning, and the user-facing software stack.

Yeah i agree. The interface looks kina like windows media player, not modern at all. I get that not everyone likes the modern minimalist looks of other cars like Teslas, but Mercedeses interior just looks plain tacky in my opinion.

no beast from Stuttgart. EQE/EQS SUV were built in Tuscaloosa, USA - EQS Sedan is built in Stuttgart only, EQE Sedan in built in Bremen

​@@speedismyfriend somehow my first reply did not make it. Q6 feels like a dark and confused place. Taking a look at a 20-button door control panel is enough to faint from complexity. System and screens are conservative and generic, but not in a good way. Reversing camera is so delayed and of low refresh rate that if feels unsafe to use. Charging is fast, but efficiency just ain´t there (check WhatCar range comparisson). Inside, it feels like a 7-year old car. It was so boring and uninspiring I have returned it half an hour early. As always, best to experience it and form your own judgement.

@bjørn nyland @3:55 Max speed for trailers in Norway with cars is 110 km/h not 80 km/h though it does consume more energy at 110 vs 90.

Extra money for BMW and Mercedes EV's is not worth it. I just recently drove the Kia EV9 and frankly, it felt more premium than any BMW or Mercedes... even more so than the Rivian R1S.

Next generation BMW and Mercedes EVs will be a big step up and they will arrive to the market 2025, and let's not forget that BMW is already doing pretty good with the i4 or iX. Next generation platforms have 800V, LiDAR, V2L/V2G, huge range and will be very efficient and with comfortable and modern interiors. I see a slightly advantage for Mercedes here but BMWs new design langauge called "Neue Klasse" could be more interesting for some people. Hyundai/KIA just can't match that entirely, for that we have to wait until early 2027 for Hyundai /KIA entirely new EV platform The charging speed of the full 800V E-GMP cars is great tho and will stay competitive until the next generation hits the market. Tesla or Rivian for sure can't keep up.

The infotainment system reminds me of some Playstation 3 shit. I have both Tesla(24' highland) and NioEL7 (Combined they are still way cheaper than this EQE) , and it is waaaaaay better than this outdated shit, I was a huge Merc fan in the 80's to the 90's. But in the last 20's, the brand is just doing everything wrong. And the price? Come on...
