When I did saw the EQE the first time I was thinking, thats only a smal Version of the EQS BUT after Watching lot of Videos I like it much more then the EQS. Great Car in all way but to expansive for me😒

It's a great car as far as EV's go but it is very expensive, especially once you start adding all the optional toys.

My dad has an EQS. Some may hate how the EQS looks but once you‘ve driven one you are willing to forgive it for the front design Edit: with the door mirrors pointing down a little in reverse it’s really not hard to line it up with parking spaces, plus the reverse cam is amazing

Do you still plan on adding carbon fiber elements to your CLA45 S? I'm considering doing that to mine but not sure which route to take

I’m thinking about hydro dipping the piano black interior pieces to glossy carbon fibre. I haven’t done this yet because to be honest the piano black has been much better than I expected. It’s not such a large open area like the center console in the c class. Think I’d still love to do it though and it’s all great video content.

They are getting better but you can't beat a proper combustion engine. After having the EQE for a week the CLA45s felt incredible to drive when we re-united.

I own and grow up with Mercedes cars in the drive-way. my grandfather always had 2 s-class one for work other for Sundays. mom had e-class and dad Gwagon. i optioned a 13 MB c250 w/handling pkg. ipads don't belong in cars. the drama and distraction of screens is not inspiring just cliche and bad for eyes.

@@Sympatiko85 You voiced an opinion for others as well as yourself. I have owned Mercedes vehicles - all sedans (not SUVs)- exclusively since the 1990s, after switching from BMWs. I personally am not a fan of the hyper screen, but are the EQ Mercedes ‘too futuristic for America’? Of course not - no more than mobile phones were too futuristic in 1992.

@@pacmanc8103 I have the hyper screen in my new 2023 AMG EQS and I absolutely love it. Anything less than that now is too minimalist for me. 🙂Granted, I am the kind of guy who prefers more tech, less buttons, etc., which, I know, is not yet a mainstream opinion these days. I do heartily agree with your assertion that the Mercedes EQ line is definitely not too futuristic for the USA, especially in places like CA, NY and where I live in NV. While driving, I am seeing more and more EVs and Mercedes has added the level of comfort and luxury I always said I needed before opting to buy one.

Same, there are FAR too many cars in the Mercedes line up that can be called ugly right now. BMW are suffering from the same affliction but not as acutely. VW group however, some very nice cars there. Don't really care about the range and the toys. Good to drive better to own is what they used to say about Mercedes. Soon that'll be good to drive, bad to look at.

It does take some getting used to. The design is all about aerodynamics. It certainly drew a lot of attention while I had it. I like that the EV’s have more of a unique look to the normal line up but I’m definitely more a fan of the normal look. It will be interesting to see how this design evolves over the next few years.

Ah don’t worry I’m still all about combustion and AMGs! I plan to try and review lots of AMGs but I really wanted to try the new EQs too. I love the tech and it’s really interesting to see where the future holds and thought a lot of people would be interested to hear my thoughts.

No electric car is worth their ridiculous unfair high prices. No there not enough electricity in our USA to power and charge electric cars. California now does not have enough electricity supply charging the many numbers of electric cars and this horrible state now has blackout where they forbid charging. Our world is also running out of materials to make the batteries that is needed so we are now damaging and devastating our earth. When the time comes to sell or trade-in an electric cars the poor owners are going to get a huge surprise for the depreciation of their electric cars because the cost of replacing the batteries is super expensive, about $20,000.00. Electric cars owners are going to get a very huge unpleasant and ugly shock. Be smart and AVOID buying any worthless electric car.
