Great test and very good result for the EQS, not a surprise because it is a super efficient design. The "Schmutz" you show is one of the things that I would fear if having light-coloured carpets. White seats might be cleanable but light beige carpets seem to be a nightmare 🙂 Overall it is a fantastic car, no doubt. The differences in range are pretty enormous between the 450 and the 580. Looks to me like the 450 is the sweet spot there... 540-711 km real life range (90-120) is pretty insanely good. But of course they are also mega-expensive, so lets see how they perform against LUCID Air and Model S LR when they are in Europe.

Is that 4WD really so important? Hardly can imagine. On winterdays where you can make it with the 580 and can’t make it with the 450, it’s so bad wheather, i most probably stay at home. If you also don’t care for the hyperscreen (i agree), then go for the 450 and save a lot of money.

people trying to figure out how to charge when at the charger is actually an issue....almost everytime i see ppl using 20 min or more trying to get the charger to start. I usually recomend a "ladebrikke" its so much easier, but they usually just mumble some bad excuse for not getting a "ladebrikke"...

they use the front motor just by physics. it's easier to pull than push. so if you have a front drive option, you use it when you can.
@bjornnyland
@bjornnyland 2 жыл бұрын
Nope. Front motor is smaller, less powerful and more efficient. Rear motor is larger, more powerful and less efficient. That's why.

@@bjornnyland just look at the change in the 80's to fwd. it was for efficiency. it's easier to pull than push. slightly more efficient motor maybe. but pulling gives you efficiency over pushing.

what physical law should that be? In the past, the engines were often installed in the rear because it was technically simpler and cheaper. However, engines and transmissions were getting bigger and bigger, so the engine was increasingly moving to the front.
@hg60justice

@@biachboy sure. that's why engines are at the back of trains, right?
@ikocheratcr
@ikocheratcr 2 жыл бұрын
@@hg60justice AFAIK front wheel drive is not for fuel efficiency, it is because it is a way cheaper setup for engine transmission, and simpler back axle. All manufacturer jumped into it because of costs, nothing else. In some cars it makes it way easier to service, you drop the whole thing and service out of the car. Efficiency might come from lower mass of ICE+ trans+ suspension for the whole car, ie less fuel to accelerate, and smaller engine to get the 'desired design acceleration'.
