you would virginize the module by direct connection, then plug in the cars can bus to the module, then go to the cars OBD port, and log into the module, then when it asks you to personalize, you would select, Move data from EZS... go to the 4.00 mark in the video, or watch any of the other videos I posted about 722.9 transmissions, and it shows you what to do...

Hi Tim, I am the Seattle area, can you verginize 2005 Mercedes SLK 350 transmission module. It got transmission swapped. The car starts but doesn't move. Can you do it online? I can take to any WA mechanic if you know they have same software.

Yes, I can virginize and personalize... No, we have to be at the car, or have the new and the old conductor plate..

AbritesUSA sells the cables, but the ones in the video are partialy homemade.. I like to extend the cables because I am old and your not going to see me crawl under a car... Had a guy with a 2006 C class in his driveway, he had replaced the Trans with a used one, I told him I needed access to the plug on the trans, I showed up and car wasn't even jacked up... He said I am paying you to fix, now fix... I laughed.... I told him he needed to tow to the dealer... as I left he couldn't understand why I was leaving.... wonder if he ever did get that fixed....

Hi Tim, i have a c230 2008 (Canadian model - live in canada), my shifter assembly module is dead. I have a used one from a c300 2009, same model number as mine). Do you have any idea what i would have to do? could i just by abrites diagnostics and program it myself? the dealer doesnt want to work with a used part, and they charge 1800$ for the part. Any ideas? concerning the step by step process i woul have to take?

Great video! Do you have to have an active subscription with AVDI for virginizing? I come across the ECMs or TCMs very rarely, but time to time need to virginize it. Right now I have ECM and TCM coming off w209. What's the best way to go? AVDI, VVDI or anything else?

Yes, with AVDI you need a current AMS, this is because the program goes online and calculates the virgin file. I have never used VVDI to virgin any mercedes modules... AVDI makes it so easy, I am spoiled...

@@davidmurillo9123 The AMS, is a yearly fee so that you get all the updates for your software, and it is needed if you are going to virginize and personalize mercedes modules... It's like $250.00 a year if you keep it up, if you let it lapse, then the price goes up... Show me a programmer that doesn't have a yearly fee... My autel is 10 times that..

I am located in Seattle WA.. and if you have an autel, how old is it?? because you have to pay a yearly fee to keep that MB programming working... last I checked it was $1,000.00 My Maxisys needs the internet connection when I program new modules from the dealer...

Hi, Tim. I have a perfectly mechanically functioning transmission but unfortunately the main conductor plate plug socket was damaged during servicing and has rendered comms to the transmission defunct. I have purchased a replacement NAG2 conductor plate and I was wondering if it would be possible to mail you my original and replacement conductor plates along with my fully functional ISM module and have you virginize and then marry the replacement plate to my vehicle? How can I contact your shop for details on such services? Great videos - keep up the great work, sir.

Do you have any tips on a replacement ISM? I am purchasing a refurbished virgin ISM and the seller will code my VIN into it. I have been told it only needed to be adapted. I only have access to Xentry DAS using passthru j2534. Hopefully it is not too difficult. Thanks in advance!

When you change out the ISM, you have to personalize it to the car, then sync it with the conductor plate, if you don't do the sync, the car won't start....if you have the Xentry, it should walk you thru it..

Currently it is stuck in my driveway in Park, I can only shift it in Neutral via Xentry. Do I have to shift in neutral first before swapping the ISM out? hopefully it can be left in park. thanks again for the help!

it depends on who you find to do it... you need to call around to your local locksmiths and find one that has Abrites..

I know that AVDI is working on there online software to be able to virginize and personalize the ME's in DAS4 cars, when they will get it done, is anybodys guess.. I can tell you I did a 2019 Merc GLA ME the other day, AVDI wouldn't communicate with the car pretty much, The Autel Maxisys programmed the ME and coded it to the car.. all except for the injectors.. The newer cars have 5 digit codes on each injector, if you don't have the injector codes, your screwed... I found out you can read the injector codes with Xentry.. or you can pull the injectors out of the engine and read them off each injector... This car was in a front end crash and ran just fine with old ME, but it had a dent in it... You know, I thought that the aftermarket would have DAS4 covered by now, but then again, DAS3 came out in 1998 and it wasn't until 2013 that we had a decent system to virgin and personalize modules and keys for that.. God I hope it doesn't take that long...

@@timtracy9442 I just bought the EP001 Bosch ECU reader, simply because I needed to clone a ME17.7.7. No one can Truly unlock or virgin it. What's weird is that you can get the MN027-Abrites FBS4 Manager, which can apparently virgin or unlock our Bluetec ECUs, but not our gasoline ECUs. Is it not the same fucking FBS4 data? All it's modifying is the FBS data.. What's the difference?! The 9 speed is no different from the 7 and 5 speed. Folks are still going to drive through floods, jump-start their cars backward, not change the oil, ect! Sooner than later someone is going to need a used 9 speed for their disgusting, flooded, stolen, wrecked, salvage auction Mercedes! It's gonna happen!!

Hi, congrat from mexico, Where can I get the software or license? and is the same process?, to make the virginization of the total integrated module on mercedez benz, I want to insert the second hand module that is in the valve body, but i'm not clear to do it

When you say integrated module, what does that mean?? If you are talking about the conductor plate that is attached to the valve body, that is what I am virginizing and then personalizing to the car... I am not sure, but I think there is a distributor in mexico.. he was selling software thru a shop in florida here in the states, a lot of people got taken by them.. her name is claudia, and she was selling licenses thru whatever shop she has in florida.. Keytechtools.. She is not an authorized distributor and the people who bought software found out the couldn't renew there annual maintenance agreement.. Feel bad for those people... Go to abrites.com and look at the distributors.. or send them an email and they will direct you to a mexico distributor..

Are you talking about the shift module on the side of the trans, or are you talking about the shifter in the center column?? what year and model??

The conductor plate plug is on the passenger side of the trans, the ISM is on the drivers side of the trans... at least here in the US where we have LHD cars..

Are you asking about the Inteligent shift module in the center console?, or the Electronic shift module on the side of the transmission?? But yes, we can do both... If you have a bad shifter, just take the plastci module off old and put on new.. If you are talking about a shift module on the side of the trans, I tell people to go with new on those... Those have plastic gears in them that go bad... [e-mail]

Yes sir.... Purchase ODIS, hookup to car, make sure you have a battery charger hooked up, and do an IMMOBILISER SERVICE, it will rewrite the CS in the TCM.. If you try and do this with AVDI, you need to hookup directly to the trans or have the CS from the car the trans came from, and then once you start the process, it can take up to 8 hours to calculate the correct CS data..

@@victor35ma If you go to special functions, look at ImmoV Parts adaptation, select Trans control unit, then select your car.. Sometimes the program will ask you for data from the donor car.. but sometimes it can read the data from the TCM, then it reads data from the car and then updates data in the new/used TCM..
