Truly appreciate the video, it answered a lot of my questions. I'm currently experiencing a Benz S350 that had water in the interior, a blown fuse (7.5) to the suction fan control module. The issue was the fan would continue to run even with the power off which would drain the battery. Have you heard of this effecting the key not operating the ignition. I'm currently unable to run a scan due to the key not being able to get to the first position. Any thoughts?

If your battery has gone dead before, and your key is longer being recognized……..try this: Leave the key in the ignition for 15mins. Then try to turn it.

My circuit board was corroded so I replaced the fan and small circuit board with a new one. I still have the same problem. There was no moisture in that area when I put it back together. Also, the rest setting is off. Have you or anyone else heard of an alternate issue that cause this. I have the same thing, the fan goes off briefly, but goes back on after you shut off the car.

It would be impossible to guess without using at least a Carsoft 2 scanner. That would indicate what’s not activating or sending a signal. It could possibly be a canbus signal not present from the actual module that controls the drivers left sam. Go through the fuses thoroughly. See the fuse chart and compare it to what is working and what isn’t.

That’s because of the blower motor resister/unit is shorted out. Pull it out and install a new one off of eBay.

I replaced the blower motor on my gl550 and now I have 0 climate control nothing turns on there’s no lights. I read the code it gave me a p0073 ambient air temp sensor, any advice on what to do?

@@goldelementautoworks the blower motor wasn’t working at all I believe. I didn’t do the repair my self, but was asked to help diagnose why the climate control isn’t responding now

I would consider a blown fuse. Worse case, possibly the installer didn’t plug something back up.
