Info about the GLC 300e:
The Mercedes-Benz GLC falls into the ranks of mid-size SUVs and offers the perfect combination of functionality and agility. SUV drivers particularly appreciate the spaciousness and the elevated seating position, and the GLC combines this in a striking design with remarkable performance figures. The combustion engine in the plug-in hybrid model of the GLC produces 155 kW/211 hp and has a max. torque of 350 Nm. The electric motor provides an additional 90 kW of power and 440 Nm of torque. The system output is thus an outstanding 235 kW/320 hp with a max torque of a whopping 700 Newton meters. So you can imagine that spontaneous start-up with the GLC 300e is fun.

is that accurate that you don't get full power if you battery is depleted? that doesn't sound right?

Well yes, if the battery is empty you won’t be able to use the batteries boost which will give you the extra hp

@@NonstopDriving I drove one of the these vehicles yesterday and the battery was completely depleted and the car still developed full power. When the batteries have been fully depleted the car is unable to run on complete EV but it functions like a hybrid ie with the electric motor still supplementing the power.

@@triniflyer8685 I’ve been personally driving the car for 2 years and I’ve always thought that it was the case. But yeah it does make sense when you say it, I’ll check it out today once the battery is depleted to see if the “energy flow” tab shows me a boost when going full pedal.

We're looking for a new car and are pretty much set on the Mercedes GLC. We only need to find the right combination of price, engine and line, e.g. AMG line etc. We drove the 2019 GLC 350 d Coupe (116.000 km on the tacho) with 258hp last weekend and it was a beauty in every respect.... but for the price ;-) 649.000 kr In Denmark, or 87.241 Euro in a country where everything is already more expensive, LOL. For a car that is almost 4 years old. In Germany you can get the same car with less kilometers on the Tacho for about 37.000 Euro, lol.

Oh wow, well I can make one suggestion. Maybe consider moving countries😂. But yes the GLC is a wonderful car and I would especially recommend the amg line (interior and exterior) it makes the look of the car way more sporty and elegant. The “off-road” package that this car has, is in my opinion not a very pleasing option.

Ach... wir verbringen ja sowieso viel Zeit in Deutschland, also wieso nicht den Sprung machen und zu euch ziehen ;-) Unser 'zweites Zuhause' (Sommerhaus) ist sowieso in den Harz, also irgendwo in der Nähe von Hamburg oder Hannover, LOL ;-) Ja, die Preise in Dänemark sind auser Kontrolle und waren das schon seit Ewigkeiten. Wie auch immer: Wir haben uns auch für die AMG-line entschieden und warten eben auf das richtige Angebot 🙂

Would've been nice though if you'd had the batteries charged so we could see what the thing could really do. That aside, the GLC is a beautiful car.

Yes the issue was that I forgot to turn of the battery on my way to the filming spot, and only then realized that it was basically drained. However when going full pedal the boost ist still activated even when the battery is pretty low. If I’m not mistaking I still had some km on the battery (I’ve noticed that even when it shows 0km reach) the battery still has some juice left. But less than 6 seconds is pretty amazing for this car

Polestar/Volvo is in my humble opinion one of the ugliest things produced since the Fiat Multipla. It's almost as horrifying as the BMW iX and BMW XM. Not quite but almost.
