Mercedes M156 6.2L V8 Fuel Injectors Replacement | C63 AMG 507 Edition

In this video, I walk you through how to change the fuel injectors on an M156 6.2L V8. The M156 is used in a number of different applications/vehicles for Mercedes and is a common motor that is found on previous generation 63 badged AMGs.
Unfortunately, fuel injectors are known to get stuck and can hydrolock the motor which can lead to a catastrophic failure. This job is important to keep your motor healthy and gives you peace of mind.

@@MarkusMarkus-pp7xp From what I've heard...you should be good for the lifetime of the motor. With that said, it is a good rule of thumb to check the injectors every 50k to 60k miles. Thanks for watching!

Awesome video! Is there any way to find out when it needs to be done? Any signs before it hydrolocks? Mine has over 140k kms and not sure if it's been done before as it had 2 previous owners.

@@xccude good rule of thumb is always replace them every 60k miles as a preventative maintenance.

Did you investigate why the oil was seeping into the connectors of the fuel injectors? Any insight?

Fairly common for the M156 apparently. Only way to make this problem go away is by installing a Catch Can. This helps with preventing oil getting into the harness and also oil build up in the manifold. Worst case scenario with this problem is misfires and total failure of the wiring harness.
