Mercedes Museum Stuttgart Germany Cars and Coffee

Blue Nelson and I drove a 1956 Mercedes Ponton from London to Stuttgart Germany for the Mercedes Museum cars and coffee. This is a quick video of the car show.

Last year, I happened to be at the Target in West Roswell, GA during a car show. An older gentleman was showing off his 300SL Gullwing. Never seen one in person and quite the treat. Drove it to the car show and I watched him drive off.

I was lucky enough to go to a MB Museum cars and coffee spring of 2023. The C&C was almost as fun as the museum. Unforgettable, can’t wait to see more!

If I could have any car in the world it would be a black or silver W123 280CE with manual transmission, a sunroof, air conditioning, and tan velour interior. I live in NYC and crime is rampant. To survive, you've got to be invisible. If you drive and Range Rover and wear a Rolex you're saying, "Rob me now." There's a way to be surrounded by excellence, beauty, and be discreet at the same time. A W123 isn't as generic as a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic. A Mercedes W123 is considered "modest" by people on the street while being true industrial art. Only people who love cars really notice it. So why the 280CE? I love two doors. I love the absence of the B pillar. It appears smaller than other models. The velour interior is warm and comfy, like a living room, and doesn't get hot in the summertime. Gas is easier to find than diesel. I would want to add a killer stereo, one that would maximize acoustic classical music, and I would add sound deadening material so I could listen to Mozart's Requiem, picking up every nuance of the Lacrimosa at 70 mph driving down the highway. Heaven.
