Great video, man. I have a 2010 S63 that just started leaking. Same location but not too bad and I can tell it just started. I’ve been searching for parts online too but they’re expensive. FCP euro is ridiculously more expensive than my local Benz dealer. Thank you for the informative video.

I looked on FCP Euro and found that the dealer is cheaper on certain parts and are readily available … I would change it out asap as the leaking oil causes damage to other parts like the alternator and belt and not mentioned the engine bay getting all dirty.

Yo! Man thanks. Bomb video. I have a 2011 S63. I’m tempted to try doing it myself because of this video. The dealer quoted 2k like u said

You can do it bro! It’s easy… just be careful and follow the steps and specs … you got this 👍

Amazing video!! Thank you as I have yet to see a video that explains the torque specs so well. I will be doing the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, Timing cover gaskets and Fuel injectors on my 2013 C63 this weekend so greatly appreciate the video and walkthrough. I assume I need to remove the rear air intake to get the fuel rail off. Fantastic....subscribed.

This was amazing THANK YOU for taking the time to film it I have a 2008 CLS63 with the same issue. Question, what would you recommend for the manual to get addl. torque specs and sequence. Ive used all-data but wasn’t impressed with my audi

Honestly I got the specs from the Mercedes dealership techs …. Don’t want to misguide you. But honestly online /google is your best bet.

Will u tell me the tools I will need.

Just get you a good set of E sockets … and the basic 3/8 ratchet and extensions… and an inch pound torque ratchet… and follow the torque specs…. it’s pretty basic.

Ok thanks also one last question what spark plugs are the originals to use in the 63AMG as well as the torque specs since i think you had also changed yours?
Hey nice video but want to point out something. Is the gasket on your top cover brown or black? It looks brown to me. It should be black! Brown gasket is for plastic top cover (which is black), black is for aluminum cover.
@urfanmalik34562 жыл бұрын
Thanks … the valve cover gasket on my car is brown, which I bought from the dealership. The gaskets for the timing chain cover were black. I figure the dealer looked up my car and found what would work. Didn’t know they were color specific for certain areas…

How much is this to fix at the dealer
@urfanmalik34562 жыл бұрын
I didn’t ask because it’s a scary problem and they would ask for an arm and a leg lol I’m guessing it would cost nearly $1600

those bolts are such a pain to tighten and loosen :/

I agree. But with the right E sockets it was pretty simple. Then the proper torque specs and you are done ✔️ lol
