I just picked one of these up a few months ago, and I was out on 1000 mile round-trip last weekend. Something went wrong with the ABC and I nursed it home. I probably drove about 400 miles on the red light of death. Did I damage anything doing that? I felt every freaking bump in the road, and out here in Wyoming and Montana, we have these frost heaves where the road highway interstate actually buckles every so often, causing a large wave length, my back was killing me by the time I got home. I need to buy/purchase the parts and get this fixed ASAP. Other than that, I love this car!!! 11-3-24

@@doctorquestian Wow! I’m so sorry this happened to you. Are you keeping ABC or converting to coilovers?

@@goldelementautoworks no question my mind, I am doing a conversion. The ones that are being installed in this video, are they the ones I should get? I had the same issue with and 2005E 500, and I ordered the parts from ARNOTT. With the exception of a new mechanic that I had not done business with before, who told me he knew all about it, everything went fine. I think I spent almost $1500 on parts for that project. Now that that project is done, I would never have known the difference. The really cool thing is, I do not have to worry about it ever again. And that is my goal with this SL 600. I absolutely love this car. With the exception of how the suspension system let me down. I can tell from listening to you throughout this video, that you are totally into doing this work. I wish you had an office here in Montana.

Why did they make 600 only dual exhaust rather than having quads?

@@iamskid4183 I feel they do it because they want it to be less than the SL65 V12 AMG with quads. They only put them on the AMGs.
