Screws hidden in the LED channel. Made me smile. Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship.
@GregVirgoe6 жыл бұрын
Wherever possible I am trying to plan the build to avoid those little black screw caps. The ones on the bulkhead will be covered by the bulkhead door. This LED was a bit of a gift to get a couple of nice big screws in to help hold the shelf up to the cupboard dividers.

I followed this video to produce my own identical wall cupboards. Worked perfectly, but I would increase the depth of the top front rail in the carcase. This provides more support to the hinges you will be fitting and acts to reduce the risk of the doors dropping. Take your time, template carefully and pay attention to detail and you too can have what are lovely cupboards. I had friends visit and look at my van last week. They could not believe I did the conversion. Yet all I did was follow your videos. Thank you Greg.

Hi, great videos I have binge watch with relish. I do have a tip though, perhaps for you but especially for other viewers. I am a carpenter with the same table saw and after watching this video I had to stop it and take a screen shot of how close your hand was to the blade when lifting the baton out, I did the same thing making window shutters and lost a thumb which wasn't pretty, and now makes any intricate work much harder. I trained as a cabinet maker a few years ago and jumped straight in at the deep end by starting my own workshop, fresh out of college. It's been a stupidly steep learning curve and I've made plenty of mistakes along the way. I only wish your videos were around then but, now in the process of converting my own Sprinter, I have found your calm, methodical approach so incredibly useful and, especially in comparison to the ridiculously verbose nonsense of most of our American cousins, straight to the point. It is utterly refreshing and your posts are an absolute pleasure to watch. I have picked up a myriad tips along the way and I can't thank you enough for being a steady, concise, detailed and reliable (not to mention talented) beacon amid the fog of half-wittery that clutters this here social medium. Hearty congratulations and I very much look forward to the next installment.

Awesome Greg! BTW my partner secretly purchased a multi scribe and a pocket hole jig after watching your video...a mystery box arrived which she said Happy Birthday! Not my birthday but pretty excited to start using them, so cheers for the inspire and the instructions👍

As always fantastic!!! Simply genius and talented. Easy to follow. You could definitely have another career doing build outs. Pleasure to watch and learn.

Like the ideas with those LED lights, but, I may just go with white lights, maybe with a light dimmer to dim and brighten as needed. However, also like how you did those cabinets too.

These were really only for ambient lighting for effect Not meant as main light source. 😊

As you can see they are simple in construction but super strong. I swear I could have swung off them :D lol

Greg, you're going to love traveling in your masterpiece, but I suspect theres going to be a time when you really miss your tools and man cave. I love the detailed work on the angles in this build, it's the difference between a backyard build and a professional build :) I love seeing your proud smile whenever you've suprised yourself at how awesome the finish is, in this video it was when you were pull on the bolted up frame and making the whole van more :)
