Mercedes W163 Electric window fault.

Mercedes w163 faulty window switches. 2002 - 2004 models . Some type of electrical paste that overtime wears out. Used a flat head screwdriver to bridge the connection and the windows work. Within the plastic button cover their might be a metal connector button that makes the connection. Will try electrical paste to try and fix the poor connection.

Something like ButtonWorx *Rubber Keypad Repair Kit* might work (or some other brand you find). I did some goobling, and they seem to be called 'conductive carbon pill membrane switches'. Usually, contact cleaner does the job. If you can't fix these, it would be possible to bodge-wire mechanical button switches to the pads on the circuit board and craft a new faceplate to mount them in. In the future, don't buy junk brands like Mercedes.

The Mercedes ML 2002 w163 2.7 diesel has been with me for the past 15 years and never had a problem. My other vehicles are Toyota's!!
