The lever inside the interior is apparently broken in mine.

If the cable is still intact, you may be able to grab the end of it with locking pliers (Vise-Grips) and pull enough to pop the hood. I don't know why Mercedes decided to make the levers plastic, and they do break off sometimes.

Hi! Great video, my hood won't close all the way, if i press it down it just pops right back up again. The pull-latch in the grille works and hooks great tho, and the latch moves when i pull the cable. I don't know what could be wrong? Do you know? Long story short, hood doesn't lock in position when pushed down.

I've had that happen too. It may just be the latch plate, that moves when you pull the cable, is dirty or loaded up with too much grease. make sure it is clean and moving freely through its' whole range of motion and that should do the trick.
