Till still has some stage fright, maybe not as much as in the beginning but if you pay attention to some of the live performances when he has to sing a song like ohne dich or diamant you can see it in his eyes and the way he moves..they can be subtle but they're there. In the early days he used to wear these big goggles because he would be singing with his closed. It made him nervous to see people staring at him. In the beginning of Diamant Notice how he takes deep breaths..like he is trying to calm down? He also keeps his eyes closed most of the time and when he does open them he pretty much looks in every direction except directly at the audience and I've also noticed that he has a tendency to leave the stage as quickly as possible.

Very very heartbreaking and the studio version has a soft cello and or violin which make it even sadder. There are people say Rammstein can’t make you cry ?

I love it so much, when we get to enjoy Olli's bass playing all alone like in "Seemann" too 🤩 He's so underrated in my opinion, the bass is what holds most of the songs together, but because he's always more in the background, he doesn't get enough credit for his playing... but he's simply GREAT ❤️

I don’t like the Paris version, though. Too much doctoring with that stupid caleidoskope-effect by the producer. I suggest to watch the less cleaner videos shot by the audience.

Nice, I asked for this before, knew you would love it. Such a good performance, Till nervous and closing his eyes most of the times. Like when he had to perform when starting he had stage fright, he might still have it when he can't put up a character to play. Can't wait for the next ones ;-)

I told you. The only bad thing about this song is that it's too short. You have to listen to the studio version. It is often like a drug to me. Putting it on repeat and just get into nirvana. Btw, you gaven't heard all the most popular songs yet. Not at all. I think you are a little confused because people recommend and request all kind of songs and you cannot know which ones are popular, but that's fine. I just want you to know that you still have a long way to go with Rammstein and still so many great songs, both popular and not.

The latest studies show that the german language has around 23 million words. Till uses a lot of them. German grammar also has no strict subject, predicate, object rule in subordinate clauses. So Till can play with the lyrics.

I also agree with what you said, that this contrast between the harder language and softer melody is so beautiful. Another song from Rammstein with that kind of feeling is "Amour" although I don't know if it exist in a live version. Another great song I recommend (although not Rammstein) is "Tears of the dragon" from Bruce Dickinson (the singer of Iron Maiden in his solo career). The live version is so full of emotion and the lyrics are so great, that I think is one of the greatest metal ballads of all time.

This songs meaning can be aimed at a thing or person having control over someone, comparing them to a diamond. It mentions how good the thing makes them feel ,their love for it, but on the other hand the person wishes to be released from the hold it has on them. As even though they are beautiful like a diamond they are just ugly like a stone at heart. Cant live with it, can't live without it

Ohhh, you still have some popular ones to go, believe me :P. I think Diamant is the shortest Rammstein song. Flake did a damn good job though, you cannot really hear it in this live performance, but the ambient sounds in the background are beautiful in the studio version.

I believe the song is about being in a toxic relationship... that's why Till sings ..."Wants to suck the soul out of me...But please let me go..." Also I don't know if anyone else has had this thought, but I also think that this is kinda opposite of Morgenstern.. In Morgenstern the girl was or thought she was ugly but was beautiful on the inside and the BF loved her still and in the end he realized she was beautiful. in this song she is beautiful on the outside but ugly on the inside and he does say that yes she is beautiful but she's toxic she's sucking the life out of him and even though he compares her beauty to a diamant at the end he realized she's nothing but a stone

It's highly recommended, that you react to the song "Stirb nicht vor mir" with the vocalist from the Band Texas Sharleen Spiteri, which sings in english in this song. Very beautiful. It's one of the most underrated songs from Rammstein. I`m sure, you would like it very much.
