What I love about Home Free is there are no egos. They choose the lead on each song by singing it and choosing who captures the feel of the song best. One of my favorite shared lead songs is "One Man Band". I absolutely adore them, they can do no wrong in my opinion. Thanks for your great reactions.

This was Austin teaching "101 flirting with the camera ". Yes his beautiful lady was in the studio so it was directed at her but a girl can dream. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's cover. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding.

I agree - I love the late Percy Sledge's original and Austin's version equally. I thought Michael Bolton's rendition rather over-wrought.

I wanted to tell you that the Home Free’s fans , the Home Fry’s watch a lot of the reactors especially if they react to a lot of Home Fry’s music. The fans are extremely loyal. I think that loyalty comes from Home Free being loyal to their fans too. At every concert Home Free interacts with their fans. They have fun on the stage and they have fun with the audience. You should watch their sing off. I’ll get the right video title and post for you.

Welcome to the Home Free family. These are the very best acapella singer out there. They can sing any genre and have sung R&B, soul, gospel, rock, comedic/funny and country songs. They have over 150 videos to choose from. When Austin was looking over at the Camera he was singing to his girlfriend who was standing by the camera. Like others have mentioned this was during quarantine and all the parts were recorded separately and edited together. Darren Home Free’s editor is one of the best. Enjoy your journey with Home Free and have a blessed day

Austin Brown was the lead here. He was the lead in Man of Constant Sorrow too. Tim Foust, the bass, cut his hair recently and let some gray show so he looks different but it’s the same guy. They did this during Covid so that’s why they were on tv’s. They weren’t all together so they filmed a lot of videos at their own homes and sent them to their producer so he could put them all together. They did a lot of songs during Covid which helped our spirits. They are so much fun too and have a great sense of humor. Try Yours, Die a Happy Man, What We Ain’t Got to hear more wonderful harmonies. Good reaction you two and I subscribed. 😀

Brothers in Arms is very serious message and incredible harmonies!/bass solo! And then some that are different, Blue Ain't Your Color (doo-wop type harmonies with Rob leading.) I have really enjoyed your reactions to Home Free. You are becoming my favorite reactors. The lead in this song is Austin Brown. He was the first singer in Man of Constant Sorrow and the highest singer in Ring of Fire. He and Tim Foust (deepest voice) are probably the two most outspoken and extraverted so they tend to be the spokespeople for the group in live shows. Brothers in Arms and Folsom Prison Blues feature Tim and the baritone Chance. End of the Road features Rob (the tenor with glasses and the bigger beard). Adam doesn't like to be featured singing but does the live drum solos. American Pie features each of the first four on one verse with the others backing them up. Some funny ones where you'll hear Tim, Rob, Austin and Adam, and Chris (Adam's brother and the founder of the group who left in 2016) are the Butts Remix, All About that Bass, and Country Fried Pop.

He also just released this week, his version of Sam Cook's 1958 classic, "You send me" which is very romantic....as for Home Free more songs to add to your list...."Take me home, country roads", Dreamer (live at the Ryman featuring Texas Hill), Brothers in Arms, In the blood & Helplessly Hoping.

If it helps, they did a song called Workin For a Living that gives each one's names and they sing some on it so you can hear each person's voice. And it's a silly one to watch because they have a great sense of humor!
@calliec74932 жыл бұрын
I enjoyed your reaction. There are songs in which Adam Rupp sings but usually only harmony. He does sing in his more recent live beatboxing solos. Helplessly Hoping which has no beatboxing is one of them with Adam sing harmony and each of the others have a solo part in it. One Man Band also has individual solos but in that one Adam Rupp really carries the song with his beatboxing. Those two songs show how wide a spectrum Home Free has musically.

Welcome to the world of Home Free! Each song is an adventure because you never know where they are going to take you! They are very talented and very decent people. And occasionally very silly. Basically, they can make you laugh out loud or cry depending on the song. They also love and care about their fans as well. This video was done during lockdown which explains all the monitors. But during lockdown, they were releasing at least 2 songs a month for the fans to keep our spirits up as well as to keep themselves busy. So they figured out how to record in their respective homes and how to film their parts for the videos. That kind of gives you an idea of the dedication they have to the group and music plus the caring they have for their fans. There are so many amazing songs out there that they have done it's difficult to recommend one. Since you like the beatboxing and are fascinated by it perhaps you should look at "Can't Stop The Feelin'". They do a beatbox section in the song that is really interesting to watch as their are a few people making the instrument sounds in that part and they focus on them in the video.

So glad you are both continuing on your Home Free journey. I really enjoy seeing your reactions to my favorite group. When they decide to cover a song they all take the lead and then decide which fits the song best. They are all about the music, not the egos. One of the many reasons i love them so much! If you want to hear what each of them can do i suggest American Pie with Don McLean, the original artist. The 4 each take a turn on a verse and Adam's beatboxing left him breathless because the song is so long. Pretty sure you would know the song. You two are so cute and I can tell how much you love each other with your side glances during the songs. I promise you that they will not disappoint but will inspire you with not only their talent but as wonderful human beings. It will be my pleasure to go along beside you along this beautiful adventure journey. Their last cover was "Unchained Melody" which refers to the original movie in 1955 entitled "Unchained" which takes place in a prison....don't want to spoil it too much but it's just simply amazing...I hope to see you do that on soon - but there's sooooo muihc more to their mountain of music - you'll see some of their original songs as well. Austin just killed this! You guys have just discovered the "truth" about Home Free. No performance is the same, they trade-off leads and sometimes they share the lead. They have a serious side and they definitely have a goofy side. But the bottom line is, they are beyond talented and professional in everything they do. I would suggest End of the Road. Rob takes lead with an assist by Austin. For a group effort, One Man Band would be good. Also, they recorded When A Man Loves A Woman during quarantine. That's why it was recorded in that manner. They had to be very creative during quarantine and there is no better example then the Quarantine song they released. I'm loving your reactions and I'm tagging along for your HF journey.
