I was one of those 23 000 people in Ziggo Dome Arena, and I still can believe that I was there. It was an amazing Nightwish show!!!

This one is all yours Dominica. I was present live at this 2nd concert in Amsterdam together with my daughter. We already had the tickets at the end of 2020, but we had to wait another 2 years (including 2x a postponement of half a year due to COVID-19) before the concerts could finally take place on 27th and 28th November 2022. There is a fan video circulating on KZbin of the 1st show on the 27th and it was shot exactly from where we sat, but the official video, this one, was shot during the 2nd show, on the 28th November. The entire concert was exited in one word. Floor is so dedicated to what she does. She adapts her way of singing and acting so perfectly and credibly to every theme, she is the real musical star. Did you know that 17 years had passed since Nightwish last performed the Phantom? And you've seen them both. The one from 2005 with Tarja and now this one in 2022 with Floor. The Phantom of the Opera was Floor's favourite, even in her young girl years. Especially with Henk as Spook in the leading role. During Best Singers she really wanted to sing this song with her childhood idol as a duet, and he was more than willing to do so on the condition that he could also perform it with her during a Nightwish concert. She promised to arrange that with the band and Tuomas was more than willing to adjust the setlist for this. And that must of course be recorded. Especially since it's in Floor's homeland.

I was there, an unexpected performance. Nightwish had played this song for the last time with Tarja. It was a pleasant surprise. They did this only two times in Amsterdam. And now for everybody to view on KZbin. Again goosebumps. Maybe they did it for Dominika ;)

Great reaction! Andre and Dominika. The Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam can hold an audience of 17,000 people, both nights of this concert were sold out, so in total 34,000 people witnessed these two performances of The Phantom. And I was there the first night. When Henk came on stage, the whole venue simply exploded. I'm feeling so lucky to have been part of that incredible feeling of joy that came over me. Defenitely one of the best evenings in my life.

each time i see this i think of how joyful Floor must be,, to sing with her idol, WITH her brothers,, so VERY VERY good! when Floor was singing the opening lines the view of Tuomas got me,, he looked so "stern" i wonder if he was letting Floor pace the opening moments and he playing behind her vocal lead. @@robvanmierlo1958 ja, volgens mij ook en die ga ik zeker bestellen, maar zoals je in PotO kunt zien zijn zelfs bij de camera’s overal de mobieltjes in beeld , vind het gewoon beetje hinderlijk weet natuurlijk ook dat het overal gebeurd en niet anders gaat worden, ik concentreer mij liever op het podium dan ik op het scherm moet kijken of ik het er wel goed op krijg wat later sowieso op dvd uitkomt , maar goed was mooi concert en 2 weken later nog in Hamburg geweest en ook dat was mooi , wel zonder HP helaas 😳maar dat was wel verwacht natuurlijk, groetjes Hanno

Yes I was there with my family. And since Beste Zangers 2019, when I discovered Floor and Nightwish. Finally november 2022 Amsterdam, Floor with Henk Poort my first live experience with this amazing band. A memory for live, a fan forever.

You know, there's Henk who is an opera singer trying to sing rock, and then there's Marko who is a rock singer trying to sing opera. Floor though is better and better in every time. :-)

Of course THAT NOTE, but one of the things I love about this is that it's so different from the Tarja/Marko version, so I don't have to pick a favourite! I'm sure it will depend on my mood - do I want Marko's monstrous phantom or Henk's more classic version? Max Schreck's Count Orlok or Christopher Lee's Count Dracula? Awesome either way!

I love how excited and giddy Dominica is and the way Andrei looks at her, so sweet. Regarding the song: Yet again! It was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! From Floor's voice, so ethereal, and her body language, how she starts slowly, but that makes her part a lot more theatrical. Like she is so immerse on Christine's character, then THE (Dutch) PHANTOM himself comes out and the crowd ROARS in excitement to see him, plus Tuomas' smile when he also sees Henk. Henk rocking the song is everything, THOSE VOCAL FRIES my goodness! LOVED to see him wearing a metal ocker-ish outfit with the Nightwish t-shirt, AND THEEEN! The famous "SING FOR ME!!" Followed by that 12 SECONDS!! Beautiful high ass note!! I imagine that emotions must have been at their peak at the end of the song; everyone, from the band to the crowd. Like you said, goosebumps goosebumps goosebumps everywhere!

Promise..I'm NOT trolling. But do they use some sort of autotune or pitch correction? I understand from coversations that they don't... but if that's actually true, then that last note is just plain astonishing. She doesn't waver there's no deviation, vibrato it's just relentless pitch perfection. I really don't care, anyone who knows my posts knows what I think of Floor (godess) but I'd just like to know one way or the other?

No autotune for sure. Might be some pitch correction on Henk's voice. None on Floor's (at least it doesn't sound it to my quite sensitive ears). Both the video and the audio are taken from both shows, on the 27th and 28th, and mixed very well. Floor is normally pitch perfect. I'm not sure about what note she was going for in the end though. To me it sounds like D#6, but I don't have perfect pitch so don't quote me on that.

This was great, but, for me Tarja and Marco were better. The flow of the song was better and Tarja was in her natural singing style. However I am also super glad they honoured Floor's promise to Henk and if you were there it would have been amazing as Nightwish always are!
