Mickey Thomas recorded his first solo album after this recording, he then joined Jefferson Starship, after 2 band members left. His recording of Jane with Jefferson Starship was a big hit for them. He has recorded a few good duets, but none better than "Only The Fool Survives" with Donna Summer in 1987, they blended so well, fabulous duet.

The title is misleading the great Mickey Thomas on lead. Definitely one of the greatest singers ever. I absolutely love this song. Elvins guitar skills are incredible. Shout out to all involved with this fantastic song. Mickey later went to Jefferson Starship. JANE is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Also did a few duets with Grace Slick formerly of J. Airplane. Mickey is still performing performing still sounds very good, I caught a portion of his concert on KZbin

Elvin was/is basically just a perfect American HonkyTonk legend. I played in many bands that opened for his small club shows in the Bay Area back in the 70s-80’s. His band would play mid week shows at small dives where they would sit and have a beer with the sparse audience during breaks, it wasn’t really a show it was just another live band night to dance and have a good time, true Honkytonk enjoyment

Great song for a slow dance with your sweetie. By looking at Mickey's outfit, you might think he's going to change the oil and spark plugs in his truck after the show. If you want to hear Elvin really jam, listen to the recording of him playing at Fillmore East back in the day.

As other people have commented, it’s Mickey Thomas on lead vocals. He is best known as the lead vocalist of Jefferson Starship/Starship. If you haven’t heard their song Jane, I would highly recommend checking it out. I think it’s one of the best rock vocal performances (and songs) of the 70’s.

This performance is so good, it renders the other versions moot. I had to find this for my collection, it's on *The Midnight Special* DVD set from Time Life / StarVista Entertainment 👍😎 There are 4 different sets, a 3 DVD set, a 6 DVD set, a 7 DVD set and an 11 DVD set. There is a lot of duplication on the various sets, but this performance (Fooled Around and Fell in Love) is ONLY found on the 3 DVD and the 11 DVD sets.

Alright wonderful ... no, you did a reaction to Jefferson Airplane. That band evolved after some members left and new ones came, one being Mickey Thomas, the singer here in this song. However, you NEED to RUN, not walk, to do their song, Jane WITH Mickey Thomas !!! I promise you, if you like awesome rock, you will be elated !!! That song is a 10 out of 10. There is a point, at the end of the guitar solo, where the guitarist is climbing the scale, up and up and up, and when Mickey comes back in, he goes 1 note higher than the guitar. Incredible ... and 1 of the EIGHT wonders of the world 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!!! Dominika, you were just delightful, squirming around in your seat. It was precious and wonderfully beautiful !!! Andre, I even caught you really getting into this. Do you and me a favor ... I'm an old, broke man, but go ... do a reaction to Jane. You'll thank me for it.
