The Hollies are the soundtrack of my life. I remember singing Hollies songs on the walk to school 60 years ago. My best friend and I were called into the headmaster's office because he wanted to tell us that a number of neighbours had phoned the school to say they look forward to us walking past their house every morning, singing. If you haven't already, you might enjoy my two favourite Hollies songs: Boulder to Birmingham and Write On. The studio (album versions are best).

I remember this song on the radio when I was a kid in the '70s. Always liked it. I was shocked later in life to find out they were from the UK. I always assumed they were American. Funny how accents disappear when people sing.
@erickvermeulen97343 ай бұрын
This song was written by Albert Hammond (you should check some of his early seventies hits) and Mike Hazlewood. Early nineties Radiohead had the hit Creep, which lend a unusual chord sequence and melody line of this song. After a court intervention. Hammond and Hazlewood were included as co-writers of the song Creep. The Hollies had many hits in those years, I love the uptime The Day That Curly Billy Shot Down Crazy Sam McGee. Well, I was a young teenager and loved books by Karl May and 'spaghetti westerns' like The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.

Andre, I know exactly how you feel when your wife is away. A few weeks ago, my wife was gone for four days to a teachers' conference, and I couldn't even be bothered to take a shower while she was away. I had zero motivation to do anything. I spent most of my time during her absence breathing and sleeping. Love you two. Carry on!

I've been following this wonderful couples reactions to songs for a good while now.Been waiting for this song to come out, because I just absolutely knew from past experience they'd adore it. The song builds I find and when the chorus kicks in it goes up another level.Lead vocalist Alan Clarkes voice is Absolutely magical. The orchestral arrangement is superb too. I must suggest another song that you may know. It's Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel. The song. - Don't give up. It's a tour force performance from both of them . Be prepared to be wowed by it if you've not heard it before.

Hello, great reactions all the time. The Air That I Breathe, first release in October 1972 by Albert Hammond. He recorded spanish version in 1974, con letra de Oscar Gómez Escolar, like "Necesito Poder Respirar". Felicitaciones. Radiohead tomó la secuencia de acordes para su canción "Creep".
