Every. Damn. Time. Such a special little soul. I just can't with her. OR Dany singing her acoustic 'When I'm alone' for that matter! Dear GOD. Thank goodness Ale said she doesn't have anything personal to write about, and if she did, she probably wouldn't. If I saw Ale's little heart bleed out onto the stage like her sisters, I'm 100% sure I would need therapy.

As one of the 8000 there that night, this was one of the most special moments I have ever been a part of live in nearly 50 years of concert going. Paulina sharing something that special with us. All of us trying our best to help her finish. All of us had tears for sure. And to think that 90 seconds later she comes back on the stage and crushes Enter Sandman.

I was there too. I was shocked as she starts singing. It was my deepest wish to hear this live. And I travelled 24.000 km from Germany and was blessed to witness this personally. Still unbelievable, for me the best, most touching, most wonderful performance in music-history and for me.😍

The one, and probably only, time that this song has ever been performed live. From the 3rd album, Error, they needed 1 more song for the album, but nothing else was ready. Pau agreed to give this up on the condition that she never have to perform it live. You heard in her speaking to the crowd why she did this ,despite that agreement. The studio version was played during intermission of the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022 show. This is the 10th anniversary show at the Pepsi Center in late 2023, any of the 23 songs here are great. Pau turns 23 next week, on 5 Feb. Dany's b-day is Thursday (30 Jan), her 25th. (Ale was 20 in Dec).

Exactly right. Therapy thru music. Written by Pau for Pau. Was never intended to be public but she allowed it to be on ERROR when they needed an extra song on the condition she would never perform it live. The song profoundly touches everyone who hears it so I’m forever grateful she choose to share it & this performance with us. “A panic attack set to music” is the only description she’s given & it’s an excellent description & the song an excellent depiction of that. She’s quite open about her mental health & how she takes care of it. Including regular therapy. She’s a true role model for us all.

Beautiful song! I don't think she was nervous, but rather emotional from the previous song she had just sung called BLACK HOLES. It was another emotional masterpiece that she also wrote and performed accompanied by a string section. She had gotten teary eyed because of the crowd response she got during that song and then decided to play BREATHE which she had sworn never to play live because of how personal and emotional it is for her.

In for a penny, in for a pound, right? She may be vulnerable, and open about it, but her work ethic is tough as nails. The thing about this band is that they can sing in a way that expresses and makes us feel the gamut of human emotions. They're not all one genre, because they are their own genre! They have a voracious appetite for studying and listening to all sorts of music, and using what they learn to improve theirs.
@GibsonB45129 күн бұрын
For a little context at the outro was she was too emotional to sing her characteristic wail so the entire audience sang it for her! That’s the point that always gets me. As it did, her.

What a beautiful reaction! This was one of the most moving concert moments I have ever seen in my 60 years. Something about these 3 girls just has a profound visceral effect on MEN, and not in the usual way. It's primal, and seems to affect fathers of daughters (I have 3) even more. This is very probably the only performance of the song she will ever do, but we can hope that it served its purpose. She had written the song to cope with something traumatic, she was afraid of performing it live, she overcame her fear, and her fans carried her through. It was certainly a very tough moment, but probably a therapeutic one.

Paulina is so very special, she’s the one who has the great ideas for their songs. She describes this as a panic attack with a musical sound track - absolutely amazing!
@MTH589 күн бұрын
To my knowledge, Pau has never said specifically what this song is about. Lot’s of speculation that it was the death of someone close to her, but we don’t really know. I’ve watched this dozens of times and haven’t made it through dry-eyed yet. In her performance of Black Holes, right before Breathe, she is again on piano, but accompanied by a string Orchestra. About a minute after Breathe she is back on Drums with her sisters and their interpretation of Enter Sandman, again accompanied by the Orchestra. Both songs are more than worthy of a Reacting to.
@ZWQ9459 күн бұрын
She wasn't really nervous but holding back her emotions. She had just played "Black Holes" prior to this song and the crowd already had her near tears. She has never explained exactly what inspired "Breathe." She has only said it is a panic attack put to music. Other than that, we don't know. She said it is very humbling to break down in tears in front of 8k people. Speculation is it written from the view point of a school friend she lost and not about her personally. Again, just speculation. Daniela recorded on IG in December, 2022 a song she sang in remembrance of a friend who took her own life. And between the time of that incident until then she didn't have time express her grief because they had been so busy. And she did it spontaneously, intending to do something entirely different, but it just hit her and she said it felt right to explain to us what she had been enduring. The only clue she gave was she mentioned going to therapy, and that was all. So, terrible things happen regardless of age.

Paulina is the drummer, sings lead on some songs, is the main songwriter and a perfect musician! Music is emotion, and Paulina and her sisters are awesome in transporting emotions. Pau at this point had ten years of experience performing for audiences of all sizes up to at least 50,000, so I don't see her as nervous. She is an emotive empath. That's a person who can get inside a character, feel what that person is feeling, then reveal it to us through lyrics, music, performance, and personal expression. She was quite literally acting in character, as her past self, here. The song has been described by her as a panic attack set to music. A few moments later, she is back on the drums playing the best version of *Enter Sandman* they have ever done!
