In the depths of the English Midlands, Independent Mercia, a campaign organisation, fights against what it sees as the illegal control of the United Kingdom and its monarch, the Queen. Its members call for freedom for Mercia, a former Anglo-Saxon kingdom, which hasn't existed for almost 1000 years.
Can they free Birmingham from the oppression of Westminster? Can they rally the people of Stoke, Tamworth, Leek, Nottingham and Leicester to unshackle themselves from the Norman Yoke and bring pride back to the Midlands?
