I loved this episode, the writing was so well done. I knew Kreese was rotten and was likely going to screw over Johnny but at the same time for Johnny's development it was good for him to give Kreese that second chance just like the kids gave him a second chance he would have come off as a hypocrite otherwise

I think Daniels's biggest problem is that he still views himself as the savior. He believes that the Cobra Kai philosophy is wrong, when it's not, it has simply been taught wrong. And Johnny is finding that line, and if Daniel will just let Johnny figure it out on his own without believing himself to be all-knowing, then things will work out. It's like Johnny said, "there is a difference between mercy and honor." Without Daniels's interference Johnny can figure it out, but Daniels is so caught up in his good vs evil world that he cant take the time to just hear Johnny out.
