I feel like your need to go even heavier with the creatures, because for example Golgari Signet would be better swapped with Sakura Tribe Elder. Why run a non-creature when a creature can do that job and synergize better with the deck? Long-time player of Meren here. Thanks for the video.

I like your mindset on that update path. My list was pretty much the same but i took the deck apart some days ago after years of playing it. She is still my favorite commander but i think i will go back to deck brewing with her and her friend sporefrog and try to build something more unique which also my playgroup can enjoy.

I have played meren for a long time i still do, so if anyone wants any advice about what cards to use im the one to ask,the fact that there is only one instant is kinda painfull cause the deck should have things like entomb,or grisley salvage which has you reveal the top 5 cards take creature or land so its a creature tutor and ramp it fuels the graveyard as well cause after you make you choice in what you want it sends the cards to the graveyard, buried alive is a must in meren and even though its mean i probably would keep in the gravpact and dictate its just so good

I would add some evoke creatures like Foundation Breaker and Shriekmaw. The Shriekmaw is a little niche but is another Ravenous Chupacabra that sacs itself. Foundation Breaker should be a stable in this deck. 2 mana reclamation sage that gives experience counters is just good.

As a player of both decks, not worth it. Muldrotha plays permanents of all types, so it really limits what Meren has access to unless you specifically want to run a creature-heavy Muldrotha deck, which I feels limits her. It's funny being able to recur an experience counter creature though, normally they're not played in the 99 because they just get killed when they're starting to get good.
