@The Milkman The lost kin gets so much easier with the shade cloak. My main difficulty was my inability to dodge the dashes, so being able to just walk through him was quite helpful. Can't really help with Grimm, and the oobloobles are annoying. I tried doing equal damage to both, but I'm not sure if it's easier to fight one angry one instead of 2 not agry

Yesterday, I watched 9 minutes of this video, and then my internet died... Sorry I couldn't watch it back then... Not my fault... I never found Waterways to be creepy. I thought Flukes were funny enemies. Remember the cocoon in Junk Pit... Honestly, the second most important thing to use a simple key on... (The most important is opening waterways) I still remember being low on health... Finding Tuk's place... Hearing those noices... Thinking it's a boss and leaving... Then I forgot and never came back. Dung Defender... The boss that made me fall in love with the game again after Soul Sanctum made me ragequit... He's one of my favorite bosses at this point. Defender's Crest opens a lot of new dialogues with other characters (Because, like charm description said, it belonged to the king's loyal knight), and synnergizes with a lot of other charms. Try to synnergize it! 39:12 You need to come from the left side, and use crystal dash. Please do this in the next episode, this is really important... I remember making it to Ancient Basin without Crystal Heart, so I had to go all the way back through that elevator shaft and died like 3 times... So maybe delaying Waterways was a great idea for you afterall! ...Throw all Geo in the fountain. Do it. 44:38 Remember I said "the game teaches you to cancel crystal dash"? I meant this place. If I disliked a boss, I dislike him today. If I liked a boss, I like him today. But... Lost Kin is the only exception. I disliked him, I like him today. Dung Defender does have a dream rematch... But it's only possible after you killed all 3 dreamers. People already told you its location. First... Go to Grubhome. You saved half of grubs and didn't pay a visit. There is a good reward for saving half the grubs.

It's certainly interesting that Broken Vessel's theme has the same melody as the main theme of the game. Keep that tune in mind, you might hear it more times throughout the game... Broken Vessel looked awfully similar to you, did they not? And the name "Lost Kin" seems important. It seems they were trying to say something by reaching out to you at the end of the fight, as well as bowing to you when you defeated their dream version. They probably would have said something to you, if they could... Other people have probably said this already, but you did indeed miss a few things in the left side of Ancient Basin. The fountain in the Ancient Basin that asked you to give away all of your Geo--it's not pointless. You might get something if you drop enough Geo in. The black substance your Shade is made of _isn't_ evil. It may seem sinister, but it's closer to you than you might think. Don't forget the secret tunnel you found in the Royal Waterways--right below the bench--or the cocoon in the Junk Pit! Both of those things lead to interesting rewards. You may want to revisit Dung Defender's arena.

Wow this was REALLY GOOD Like super good because you fought my fav bosses in the game! (I very much enjoy Dung Defender and Broken Vessel/Lost Kin) Just some tips 1.) In the Royal Waterways you missed an area to get another charm before you diverged into the Junk Pit so I recommend going back to get it 2.) When you flipped that switch after the Dung Defender fight, it helped clear out an area in the Waterways to get a special ability (Also there’s a secret area right underneath the switch if you ground pound it) 3.) The Ancient Basin is filled with lots of stuff you missed. A grub, a simple key and some Pale Ore. 4.) That fountain where you donate geo will only take 3000 geo but it’ll be worth it for the reward Also you noticed that the Lost Kin and the Knight look very similar yes? But anyway great work and good luck on the rest!

Here are some tips: Ancient Basin: There's an area under the tram station with a simple key you missed Palace Grounds and the Abyss in the Ancient Basin are inaccessible right now (Palace Grounds requires 1800 essence which gives Awoken Dream Nail, the Abyss requires defeating Hornet a second time in an area you haven't been to yet.) Once you have enough Geo, drop 3000 Geo into the Pale King fountain, you get a vessel (soul container) fragment Royal Waterways: You missed a boss in the area almost directly below the bench In the remaining part of the Waterways you get another movement ability There's a breakable floor under the switch after Dung Defender which leads to the Dung Defender rematch (which can be done 5 times and gets progressively harder), but you need to destroy all 3 Dreamers before the rematch is unlocked.

Great vid as always and congratz on getting the double jump~! The Rancid Eggs are used with Jiji to retrieve your shade. Give her a rancid egg and she'll summon your shade to her little hut. It's handy if you are tired of trying a boss and don't want to get your shade from the boss's room or if it gets stuck in a hard/annoying to reach place. And, there is still TONS you haven't explored, including whole new areas of the map. The Grimmchild can't hit you, only enemies, and you should go to the right of the Palace Room in the Ancient Basin. Btw, you should check out the Forgotten Crossroads more in the next episode now that you have the wings.

Merg your videos have great replay value and I still thank you to this day for introducing me to the world of Hollow Knight. Fun Fact: The area at 16:29 was actually added as a part of the Godmaster DLC. The giant enemies (Flukemunga) in that area were also added.

You missed stuff in the Royal Waterways, including that tiny corridor you saw and skipped. Palace Grounds requires you to go to the Seer again. Finish the Royal Waterways first. The Ancient Basin is not completed, you can do that as well. Although some portions are for later in the game. Yes, you can revisit the Dung Defender. I suggest you go find at least one of the Dreamers (preferrably the one in City of Tears) after completing the Royal Waterways. This would give you a large bonus story-wise so you can understand what's going on in the game.
