I'm glad you're continuing this series! There's still so much left to discover :D - To understand Mr Mushroom, you may need to become more like him, in a sense. Some characters have unique dialogue if you have certain Charms on... - Hiveblood, along with Deep Focus and Grubsong, is GOD TIER in difficult platforming sections, as long as you have a lot of patience. You may want to keep it in mind. Also, I'm not sure if you noticed, but the bees in The Hive don't attack you while you have it equipped! - You may want to check out the Colosseum of Fools now that you've finished exploring Deepnest! - An interesting thing to note: One of the ghosts in the Spirits' Glade, Thistlewind, said that he was not the only moth to take up a weapon. Another braved the edges of the world, hoping to uncover a truth long forgotten. It's likely that he was referring to Markoth. - You've already avoided the "mistake", don't worry. It would have involved getting the flame in Deepnest. - Nightmare King Grimm used to be revered as the hardest boss in the game, and for good reason. If it makes you feel any better, it took me four hours to beat him. I'm more skilled now, but it's still a difficult fight. He has one of the best soundtracks in the game, as well! As for some tips, I'd recommend finding the last Mask Shard (hint: Resting Grounds), and maybe finding more Charm Notches. There's one in Fog Canyon, I can't remember if you've already gotten that one. Quick Focus is a great charm against him, and Shape of Unn probably is, too--I never actually used that one. He's definitely overwhelming at first, but with strength and perseverance, you'll succeed. A lot of it comes down to muscle memory; thankfully all of his attacks are clearly telegraphed. - You might want to talk to Divine again (the other tent in Dirtmouth), you'll get something from her pretty soon that is very useful in the NKG fight. - Now that the Dream Nail has awoken, you can take the first steps toward getting the next endings; look deep within the Kingdom...

I honestly admire merg so much for that. I really get frustrated when I'm faced with challenges in life in general, and even when I do get through them I don't feel that satisfied because the journey was so frustrating. I'm not really the type of person that likes to "challenge themselves" and "push their limits", I'm very conformist and I'm perfectly happy with just being alive, I don't have anything to prove. But this is a weakness, since you always face adversity in life no matter what. Grimmkin Nightmare is the worst normal enemy, change my mind Hive... It was so much worse before Lifeblood Update. It was still beautiful, but it's soooo much better now. Also no Hive Knight, which is a great boss. Hornet had a big backstory during development. Devs cannot confirm if it's still canon, but it exists. She was supposed to be born by queen of Deepnest, raised by queen of Hallownest, and trained by queen of the Hive. The queen of the *Hive* is the one who gave this *spider* name *Hornet*. You didn't go into the room in Distant Village with the flame. The guy who was willing to offer you a flame for free is still there... But there is no reason to go back unless you're interested in his reaction to you visiting him after getting 3 flames. Markoth... This is the one Dream Warrior who could be in top 10 hardest bosses, no joke. He'd just barely make it there, but he would make it there nonetheless. Hiveblood is best for platforming. If you find yourself in front of a lot of platforming, Hiveblood is your best friend. Fun fact: If you bring Grimmchild with you to fight Markoth, the child will stupidly attack dreamshield. Elderbug was talking about Black Egg opening. Just... Please. Don't fight Nightmare King without all masks and strongest nail. I know you like to challenge yourself but please. Failed Champion is one of the hardest bosses in the game without the cheese or correct charms. You cannot change my mind. So... Remember a couple places which caused Dream Nail to just bounce off? Visit them again... Have fun.

I thought Failed Champion was incredibly difficult my first few tries, but I soon realized it's the same exact attacks as False Knight, just much faster. It became much easier once I realized that and could predict everything it does.

*Some journal entries add extra entries to the total (the total will go up when you kill them) and some just don’t seem to count as part of the journal (they don’t add to the journal count at all). *Hiveblood allows you to heal with Joni’s blessing on, and it is very useful for platforming challenges. *The spore shroom charm allows you to understand Mr. Mushroom and other fungal lore tablets. *Mr. Mushroom can be found at various different locations, you must speak to him to make him move to the next area. If you find him in every location, you get a little cutscene at the end of the game. *You should get the highest level nail and as much health as possible before trying to beat nkg (Nightmare King Grimm). It is one of the most challenging fights in the game, and incredibly fun once you git gud. Once you are fully prepared you kind of just have to throw yourself at him over and over until you win. *Now that you have awaken your dream nail, the dreamy places that had that weird barrier over them (the dude in the area where you got the shadow dash, etc.) are now dream-nailable.

1. You didn't do the Grimm mistake if you were wondering. The mistake was with a choice given to you by Brumm who had the flame in Deepnest. If you followed his advice you would have banished the Grimm Troupe and not fight Nighmake King Grimm. That might sound good now but once you master it it's one of the best bosses in the game. 2. The Awoken Dream Nail is mainly used to enter a new area I won't spoil. Remember that white thing with black tentacles in the Ancient Basin next to the King's Station? Well, that had a dream lock I guess put on it. With the Awoken Dream Nail now Wielder, cut your way into that guarded and forgotten dream

Merg, Nightmare King Grimm is basically the Sans of Hollow Knight. Just way more fast-paced and dangerous. I recommend using a Mark-of-Pride + Unbreakable Strength build to wear him down since he gives you almost no time to heal. It helped me defeat him in less than half-an-hour.

Few things ill tell you: Amazing fight with the Failed Champion NKG (Nightmare King Grimm) is only the 4th or 5th hardest boss fight in the game. Yup. Theres something in the Queens garden that you still need for the true ending. Kill the Traitor and find the queen Near the hidden station theres a big room with corpse, dream nail it. Divine can make fragile charms unbreakable so when you die they will no longer break on death. Also who can’t wait till the white palace?

**THINGS YOU SHOULD DO QUICKLY** 1. Go back to Divine and keep giving her your fragile charms and geo. It will help you a lot. Once you have got all three of your fragile charms upgraded, you can go back to that vendor from where you bought them for some extra dialogue. 2. There is a hidden room in Fog Canyon not shown on the map. It is accessible if you use Isma's Tear from the Infected Crossroads and head towards the opening towards the left above the opening which leads to Cornifer's Location. The room you would be entering would be full of hard (and explosive) platforming but the reward at the end will be really good. 3. This is one of the important ones. If you are going to try the Colosseum of Fools and in case you complete the second level (trial), you would be returning to an NPC. Please DO NOT attempt what the NPC would be telling you to do and instead, leave immediately to Greenpath. **OTHER STUFF** 1. Equip the Mushroom charm you have and go back to Mister Mushroom. Once you have done it, your next location should be outside the Hive. 2.Equip Fragile Heart, Joni's Blessing and Lifeblood Heart and enter that big blue door in the abyss. Once you enter, please go to the left first and do not get the reward in that room immediately. 3. Go back to the room below where you fought the Dung Defender (where you used your Desolate Dive) and if you complete the first level(trial) of the Colosseum, go back to Dirtmouth. 4. It's really interesting how you have rescued almost every single grub in the game. Still, you can go to the Queen's Gardens and you will find a key there. The key already tells you the answer. 5. Last, but go back to the Grey Mourner in the Resting Grounds.

While doing the Grey Mourner's quest I used to kill myself when taking damage so things would get quicker. This is not recommendable, because the enemies respawn!

Also: in the Queen's Gardens there's some other stuff to be done. And using the descending dark in the Maskmaker's room will cause his mask to fall off, which is an interesting sight.

@@Haarunen Well pure vessel (in my opinion) took way less time than NKG. Probably because I didn't have pure nail when I defeated NKG. But, I could see why people would have trouble with him. Since I've completed the 4th pantheon, I have to only fight him at least once more. But, still. Why the hell is Markoth up there? I would put regular radiance instead.

Videofreak 999 the white palace. Once you get the awoken dream nail, go to the white palace and dreamnailthe kingsmould. That will take you to the white palace where you can complete it and whack the king to get a half of the kingsmould charm then go to the Queen's garden and find the (still) alive queen and get the other half.

43:28 - he meant the cry the Hollow Knight uttered when you broke the seals. It's also very nice that you make it out how effective the cyclone slash is in fight against the Fallen Champion. I killed him this way during my no upgrades/no healing run.
