(Psst, a little secret or two to help you out. If you die on the orange soul phase, you can just reload and keep working towards the no-hit from that point, with no consequence! And pressing X will let you slow down, so it's easier to dodge some attacks that way!)

It's a testament to how good the people working on this amazing AU that I managed to fall for Flowey's act, despite knowing his character in ways that the undertale characters can't. I genuinely thought he had somehow been changed, perhaps an aftereffect of his turning into asriel and doing the botched reset that caused this AU left his emotions intact. I can't possibly be the only one.

Honestly, I found Inverted Fate because of Merg’s Alphys video, and I wanna say. If this is interesting, I’d highly recommend reading the full comic. Dork’s understanding of the undertale universe and its characters is incredible; exploring its world felt like playing undertale for the first time again, which is impressive for a webcomic. Not to mention that the story itself is really compelling - which, speaking of. A lot of undertale’s depth can be seen in Inverted Fate, down to really small, minute details from one-off lines of dialog carrying over to the new timeline. In a lot of places, say, with the former humans as a pretty big example, a lot of new depth is introduced to the world, all while still fitting the magic of Undertale proper. Not to mention the fangames being some of the highest quality for an AU of this size out there (the only competition I can think of off the top of my head is like, the TS!Underswap demo). It is simply Really Good and I cannot recommend it enough

If you ever decide to go for a no-hit, here are some tips and tricks that I've learned from when I did! - When you reach the part of the fight where you have to stay on the [MERCY] button, if you know you're going to get hit on a certain attack, you can go to any other button to skip it. This has helped me on many occasions, and it's a freaking lifesaver. - Get consistent strats and stick to them. This is kind of obvious, but ideally, you should get good strats for every attack that works 99% of the time. Toriel's attack pattern is cycle-based, so you could theoretically memorize/predict which attack comes next. If you can't find one, you're better off "skipping" it rather than doing a "diceroll". - Once she says "I deserve nothing less!", and the background turns to orange, that's where you can get hit and the game still counts it as no-hitting. But, if you ever decide to no-hit the entire thing, here's what I did. Go to the middle-right, dodge the big fireballs that explode into small ones, then dash towards the [MERCY] button. Go into a circular pattern that can easily transition into a sideways-8 styled pattern to dodge the small fireballs that come from the middle. Then pray you don't get hit by the orange fireballs, and then you're done. Best of luck! :)
