Senator Jeff Merkley, Senator John Cornyn, along with Representatives Ro Khanna and Earl “Buddy” Carter, were joined by Paris Hilton and other survivors of abuse in residential treatment facilities as they introduce the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act.
  
The Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act is bipartisan, bicameral legislation that would provide greater oversight and data transparency of institutional youth programs, begin implementing urgent recommendations to develop robust information sharing systems among states, and promote best practices for identifying and preventing institutional child abuse.

I hate how cynical the current Republicans have made me. Hearing them speak I just wonder if he’s trying to “protect” children or use them as labor, keep them from healthcare, keep them from free lunches, force them to stay pregnant at 9 years old or allow child marriage? This 1 Republican may be sincere but I don’t believe him because he aligns himself with scoundrels & the like.

lol there must be hundreds of them. they need some place to live, but i t needs to be a good place, THAT is the point. They DO take away too many kids from parents, they don't have enough good places to keep them, it actually isn't protecting them at all. They should cut back the numbers taken from parents , and remove them only from the really bad criminally abusive parents.
