Yes, may both Bonnie and Merle R.I.P. She passed away before he did. He did love and respect Bonnie, who was married to Buck Owens. Bonnie had her own singing career. She left Buck for Merle. I’m not sure of the length of either marriage but I have read that Buck wasn’t pleased about his sons being influenced by, “an ex convict.” According to what I’ve read, Bonnie (and Buck’s) sons and Merle developed a good relationship and worked together in music.

I love the magnetism between them. The saddest thing l saw was Merle talking about Bonnie when she was in a home, she took Merle to show him a picture of her favourite guy. When they got too the room there was a large picture of Merle hanging on her wall. She told Meryl this was her favourite guy. Sadly she didn’t recognise that it was Meryl any longer.
