Thanks Shakey. He stood out from the crowd. No one like Merle. Merle road on my stepdads Amtrak run from Rawlings Wyoming. To Green River. In the fifty years of working for Amtrak being an engineer. Having Merle sit with him and visit with him. Was his highlight. He said talking with Merle was like visiting with an old friend. Merle signed his guest book. My stepdad treasured it and that day. Always appreciate what you share of the best of Hag! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

That’s all there is. It is taken from a 12 part series and that is the only part involving Merle unfortunately. I agree with you I wish it was longer!

Thanks for this post. I love how you are so knowledgeable of Merle and his recordings. I am from Australia and had a tune from you tube that Merle sang in early 70's about a soldier leaving a girl to wait on the banks of the river Rhine. I can't request this song as I don't know the name of it. I thought it was written by Fuzzy Owen Can you help with name please or post this song. My friends tell me I am obsessed with Merle Haggard and also love Bonnie Owens I love your posts about them
