I was with my wife at a Tanya Tucker show right after Merle died. We were front row and my wife and I shook hands with Tanya and she said “I just can’t imagine a world without Merle Haggard in it” we all agreed. Miss the man Glad for the memories and happy for all the music he left us all. Thanks Tanya and God bless Merle and the Haggard family.🇺🇸

I believe Merle Haggard's music was the most popular country music of all time. Growing up in the 70's at a mountainous region in the Philippines, his music was often heard in everyone's home...more folks loved country music back then. I was young and couldn't exactly remember the title of songs being played but so certain that it was a Merle Haggard's and I loved it, and still loving all his songs until now.. I'm 49.

Thanks for sharing your story. My bf and I were having dinner in the Casino in Winnipeg, MB a few years back and it was karaoke night. There were a few Phillipeano men having a blast singing country songs. We had a few chuckles with their accent but they were so happy and having so much fun. I thought it was awesome to see that your culture loved country music.

Singers who walked through the ages of time have come and gone. But there have been just a rare few who have left us a legends song. The footprints that graced the stage of many old places. Are now a memory of yesterday's words and unforgettable faces. Merle Haggard stepped out on a cloud and said good by. But he left us enough songs that his voice will for us never die. George Jones" Johnny Cash" Buck Owens" any many more have tipped their hat and took their last bow. But we as fans of those now gone we will always remain at the stage And be in the crowd...

Janet Hunter -----Janet Hunter....every song he has wrote and sung is like a BOOK of Biography of his entire like. He never forgot his raising and he never let fame go to his head. He truly loved and felt blessed to be able to sing and know that people loved him and his music and actually paid to hear it unlike as he said that some family might claim him for what they could get out of him but his fans loved him for who he was and how humble he was writing songs and singing them about his life. He will never be replaced!

Merle Haggard is, has been, and always will be my very favorite country music singer/Muscian, OF ALL TIME! I dearly love that man and he got me through a lot of heartache since 8th grade-1969! I miss him, just knowing he is not here. But I will see him again, and I believe sooner more than later! Not one person has come close to replacing him for me, my eyes, my ears and my heart! Until I got an iPad and found KZbin, I only had my albums ( and I have more of his than any other singer/entertainer second only to Elvis ( and that's only because I got my sister Peggy's collection to put with mine! She was married and gone when I found Merle! ). Thanks KZbin for all you have that I don't, and to anyone Else who uploads all this! Much Love and Thanks!
