I was raised in labor camp from California to Arizona, in Arizona we lived in dirt floor tent cabin, that had wood sides and a teen roof. In Firebaugh we live a a metal leantoo, in Yuba City just a metal cabin. I was happy because I didn't know any better. We follow the crops and I am a white american, back in the forty and fifty there was a lot of white american follow the crops. Most of us were from Oklahoma.

I heard this on a record in 1977 or '78. I remember Merle's spoken introduction...with just a bit of echo. Great song. Merle is a treasure. Thank you for posting.
