Fifteen-year-old Charlotte Flax (Winona Ryder) is tired of her wacky mom (Cher) moving their family to a different town any time she feels it is necessary. It was based on a book of the same name. I think the younger sister (played here by a very young Christina Ricci) wished very fervently to become a mermaid, and the mom's Halloween costume was inspired by it.

So, because of this Johnny Depp Amber Heard court battle, I looked this movie up, even though he has nothing to do with Mermaids. Weird but, I just kind of thought he was in this movie. Nope. However, Winona Ryder, wow! She reminds me of Johnny Depp in a strange way. They must have had a weird trip meeting each other back then. Yeah I know they were cast together for Edward Scissorhands, and were in a relationship for a few years. Christina Ricci, omg, she also seems so weirdly similar to Johnny Depp. I know they were cast in Sleepy Hollow.
