Agreed about the water toy issue. Also, her hair... If it where just a regular straight hair style it would probably dry in an hour, but it's so thick and braided, that hair will never dye when wet unless you take the braids out. If you leave it to dry braided, it might get mouldy which is going to be a nightmare for kids and their parents to deal with.

I think this one is my favorite because her tail looks the most like an actual mermaid tail compared to the others. I also love the colors and the style of her top. The only thing that is making me hesitate is the hair. I absolutely hate the cotton candy hair, so I don't know if it's worth it to get the doll...

I would also love if they had legs! But, I think that them being mermaids is what, initially, made them stand out so much! I am not sure if they would have the same popularity if they originally had legs! Loved your video, keep it going!! 🥰😍❤️❤️

If I get one of these I think it would definately be Kishiko. Her tail and hair and face are gorgeous. For some reason I really like the packaging too and wouldnt want to unbox her. I’m getting close to completeing my rainbow high collection and I caved and got Splash Beauty and Crystal Star so my OMG collection is officially complete! 🥳

Several of my dolls are second hand so i have done the fabric softener wash for their hair. It makes it so soft after and then I usually just braid or bun that's my go to styling of hair.

Been trying to remind my daughter that she is allowed to like dolls and "play" with them. She LOVED Monster High when she was younger. I'm planning to buy the reproductions for her. I got some Shadow High dolls and she sat down with me and changed all their clothes. Then borrowed her favorite and disappeared for a few hours. I hope you can remember it's okay to love dolls. And more so, that you can enjoy them despite the lack of immediate support.

I don’t have any of these dolls. I’m waiting for a deep discount but I like Kishiko the most. Her color story is the most mermaidy/fantasy one to me. She reminds me of the OMG dance doll I think it’s Miss Royal, the girl with the intricate braids.

Pretty sure Kishiko has mohair, which is a lot more of a dry yarn texture. It holds shape great, but I've never seen it used in a playline (as far as I've seen). Only customs and bjd wigs. I don't think it handles extreme water temp very well, and so using it in a line where it is advertised as a toy meant to be in water...just seems weird to me. She's such a pretty doll though, but the hair on all of the dolls in the line confuse me since they are advertised as meant to be played with in water.

I don't think I would mind that these dolls are permanent mermaids if they had a knee joint and could sit. I totally agree that there's no need for the color change and I also would rather the budget went to a better tail. I also would rather a more "normal" looking mermaid tail because I feel like the "stylish" tails really limits the styles you can do on the dolls, which is really why I think everyone is rebodying the dolls so much.

I rebottied mine.. and my friends granddaughter who is 7 got on for Easter and the color change was a big blow out. I guess she got the upper half all wet. Then she cried the rest of the evening bc she thought she ruined the hair .lol it's funny but then again it's not. So I also re-bodied her doll. And put a Dollar store head on the mermaid doll and she plays with her in the tail. Now she's happy. Lol but I agree give them legs, please

I sooo, wanted to buy this doll, but between that dry yarn raggedy Ann hair, and that $33.99 Walmart price point it was sadly a nope for me. :( I also wish that she had actual legs, and that the tail was removable so you could have more fun play / displaying options. Such a beautiful doll. Darn shame.

Today after watching a different doll reviewer, I realized mermaid high and mermaidz were totally different brands. I think I like the fashion of mermaid high better but the hair styles for mermaidz is definitely cooler.

The color change feature should be it stays until you change it back otherwise it’s useless for just a few seconds.The hair is too much for a doll meant to be played with in the water unless it’s just for adult collectors.

Please don't give them legs!!! I think the aesthetic of their tails would NOT be the same if they had slip on tails but I would love if they made it the standard to have articulation in the knee area so they can have more poseability. If someone wants them to have legs I feel like the new Lol Surprise OMG Fierce dolls will be an appropriate fit for their head size!

Pretty colors I would agree... but (honestly) the facial expressions these dolls seem so sad , bored and forlorn. The same expression as poor little rich girl PH feigns. I find little joy in them (other than some of the detailing) and the hard color change tail is definitely a miss.
