1 of my collectors friends pointed out how she is giving us Jem & the holograms vibes so I do love this doll for that. I was bummed to hear she’s very thinly & badly rooted. Her & Riveria are my least favs but if I see clearance I’d totally collect them. Also was bummed Harmonique has molded on bracelets that look unfinished.

Me and my partner have recently figured out you can switch the tails they pop off like morra does only diff is they put glue on the original dolls peg so it's harder to get the lower stomach part away from the tail but we have mashed up all of our mermaids doll tails it's a nice new way to customize the dolls

Of this initial launch Harmonique is the one that has come closest to coming home with me - I keep finding wonky eyed ones - but she'll have to wait until she's marked down because the issues I have are still present. I definitely think she feels/looks more like a deluxe collector moment than Orra and with some tweaking she could have felt worth that elevated price too.

idk if anyone else has mentioned it but there are actually 5 of the normal mermaids and then 1 deluxe. the normal merms are Jordie, Riviera, Harmonique, Shellnelle, and Kishiko. Orra is the deluxe doll. Hope this helps!

The thing I don't like about color-changing toys in general is that after a few years the color-changing parts will turn into a weird color, that is not the cold or hot color but something in between, that most of the time looks like barf, lol. Other than that they look really pretty, I think they reused Project MC2 molds for these

Beautiful doll great review but I was thinking the exact same thing when I got them the lower half should snap off to snap on legs by using really strong magnets or something.

Apologies if this comes across as harsh Melissa, but it's been bugging me and now I must say it. Holographic is when an opaque material shifts between the spectrum of the rainbow in (ideally direct) light. So the harness would be an example of pink holo. Iridescent would be a see through material that shifts between colors. The tail would be considered multichrome. Multichrome shifts between 2-3 colors depending on the angle in light. Since the tail is a solid piece of plastic, it's not really a traditional multichrome because no matter which way you turned it the middle stated blue but trying it's giving that vibe. Again apologies if this comes across as harsh.
