I started learning ML and did some internships, but the reality is that there's not much scope here unless you have a good amount of experience, especially if you want to go into research. Then I started learning the MERN stack and noticed that recruiters are no longer interested in just MERN stack skills. You need to know system design, have solved at least 1000 DSA questions, and ideally have published a solid, award-winning research paper in your class 10th. You must also know cloud computing, have a good understanding of TensorFlow, Keras, and Pandas, be well-versed in computer networks, and possess 5 years’ worth of CAT-level aptitude knowledge. well well well you still not able to crack a good job bcz the senior's brother son is already invited for the position you have applied.

DSA is not a devil its a toolchain/ toolkit for a engineer so that he can built what is imaginable, no one cannot become good engineer without DSA. I am not talking about MERN stack cause peoples they are from separate breed/species who don't know more than mern and that is the main reason why they get laid off because they fear from leaning things which is crucial if you are a engineer. Here I am talking about DSA not solving 300 or 500 problems in leetcode. And here I am only reffering to peoples which are in frontend and backend.
@nehalpradhan22292 ай бұрын
MERN stack only focuses on web, frontend and a little bit of backend. DSA is not required that much. software development is not only about frontend or backend nor it is all about DSA. Software industry is much more than just frontend and backend. Some places require a lot of actual DSA (not leetcode). These places don't even require frontend or database backend. They are all about internal logic where DSA might be applied. It's the influencers that created this stupid controversy. DSA karo ya na karo, MERN karo ya na karo, jitne bhi acha engineer ban jao, jab requirement nahi hogi toh sab ko layoff karenge. 😂😂

DSA is required, I think intermediate knowledge of DSA should be sufficient, one should know good enough Data structures, Algorithms. Solving bunch of mediums in leetcode on all patterns should be sufficient. And shouldn't focus of solving 2000+ or 3000+ leetcode questions or grandmaster in codeforces. It is not required in software engineering. The AI models already have training data on DSA. So when to use what data structure can easily be obtained. I think next, the focus should be on development, tools and core subjects instead of solving endless riddles on leetcode.

In India not only MERN but skills like Data science , ML are also dead because there is no career in that , job and career both are different things because career offers growth .There is no research going on which would require these skills ,these skill are also easy to learn than MERN ( i know people would argue it means you know nothing about MERN ) . When we talk about software engineering there is a path and growth and eventually if you are into this field you will earn more. Main problem of crisis is not good infrastructure to support the startups and manufacturing industry in India , we all know there are not so much manufacturing industries , and not so many product-based Indian startups that would require these skills. The government's goal should be to create more infra for the manufacturing industry , only manufacturing can generate many jobs and IT is so saturated now.Also i am so optimistic towards AI , btw Striver is far more better than other creators atleast he is honest and not selling fake dreams and goals in this present bad market situation for techies.

Very soon working for companies will be out of fashion. A Developer is a like an artisian who builds things. Similary developers are expected to create their own products, to showcase or to sell. The good thing about developing products is that you can add features and keep improving it over time making it more and more valuable. Take some problem and make a product to solve it. Product development is the next big thing in Indian IT. As an ordinary dev you can only get paid salary, but if your product is good, you can sell thousand or millions of copies of the same. Devs can make millions if they make products and sell. With AI you can make fantastic products for the future. Product development eco-system will create huge earning opportunities. So don't sit idle waiting for job, keep coding and build new products!!

How do you think the rapid advancement of AI will impact software development in the next few years, especially in terms of job opportunities and the types of skills developers will need to remain competitive?
@maazahmad34052 ай бұрын
With the rapid advancement of AI, it’s becoming clear that many repetitive and mundane tasks in software development, such as code generation, debugging, and testing, are increasingly being automated. This automation has the potential to significantly reduce the need for developers to perform these tasks manually, which could ultimately lead to a decreased demand for developers in certain areas. As AI takes over more routine aspects of development, the industry may see a shift where fewer developers are required to manage larger-scale projects. This raises important questions about how future developers can stay relevant. In this evolving landscape, it will be crucial for developers to focus on higher-level problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking-skills that are not easily automated by AI. Understanding how to collaborate with AI tools effectively will also become essential.
