I don't believe the Merrell Moab WP has Gore-Tex, but rather has its own waterproofing. But the Moab 2 GTX model does. Which model did you get?

I think you are absolutely right. I guess I just assumed they were Gore-Tex but I checked again and they aren’t. They are waterproof though so I guess that is what matters. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the video, I live in a tropical country and I am thinking about the best option for me, I hate getting my feet wet, but I was concerned about getting my fit on fire during summer. My feet are cold most of the time so I guess I will choose the waterproof hoping they are not too hot

I live in Tampa FL and when it is really wet from rain, I wear my waterproof Moabs. While I do certainly notice a difference, I don't think it is too bad. I hope the waterproof version works out for you. Thanks for watching!

As much as we live in unique environments. One aspect many people forget is also sock choice of material. Avoid cotton because it holds sweat and moisture and takes forever to dry out. A sport sock mostly of polyester will help better and the best has to be merino wool. Light weight socks. Breathe and dry quickly 👍🏼

I use these for construction and need a new pair, idk if I should get the reg ones or the goretex ones?! I’m from New York we get rain once in a while so maybe just get the regular mid boot?

The waterproof shoes are nice in the cold but vented are best in the summer. Not sure what I’d recommend in your case.

@@KempOutside went with the Moab 3 mid boot in olive!! Happy with my purchase and the softness of my foot in these is what I need. Will be good for this summer season at work!! Anyways thank you man👍🏼 thanks for the reply

is the water proof one noticeably more hotter to wear? like do they not breath at all and feet sweat?

It is noticeable but not terrible. I live in Florida so I hike in some pretty hot climates and I don't hesitate to wear the waterproof pair when it is wet. But my feet certainly sweat more in the waterproof pair.

These shoes are NOT GOOD ON ICY SURFACES !!

I haven't had too much problems with them on snow and ice but when it is really slippery, I don't know that any shoe would perform better.
