As the other comment said, it doesn't matter what you spend on your wedding. My husband and I were so broke when we got married. I think we spent about $300. We just celebrated 33 years this past Sunday. Biggest thing to remember is that life has ups and downs. Stick together during these times, don't let it come between you. My FIL's advice to us was to never belittle each other esp. in public or to others. Another biggie is just love one another and the rest will fall into place. ❤❤❤ Congrats on the engagement. Wedding advice: save your money from a big wedding. Almost 40 years ago it cost me less than $100.00 to get married. That was the marriage license and the rental of the place we got married and the cake. One of our wedding gifts was someone paid the preacher. We went into our marriage debt free. Use your money for you. You will need it when you have children if that’s what y’all choose to do!

We did the same thing. Small wedding and people helped pitch in for the venue, music, food, etc. we had Costco cake and subway sandwiches.

Your fiancé is adorable! :D My marriage advice after 33 years and counting, play together, whether its board games, video games, or just cards, enjoy each others company whenever you can as the days are flying by so quickly. Also, if you remember that your a team, not opponents, during a disagreement (and there will be some), so you don't have to try to prove each other to be wrong, just try to get each other to understand your point of view and leave it at that. Winning isn't always winning, if you get my drift. :D Wishing you and your fiancé many decades of love, laughter, and a few disagreements, so you can appreciate the blessing of having each other! :D God bless you and your wonderful family. Garrett if you have someone that you really want at your wedding and you are getting it catered and can not afford the meal cost ask if they can bring there own or buy a meal at the venue instead of a gift. Have been to a few here in Queensland Australia and enjoyed eating it more than anything because it is cooked and seasoned to my liking.

My son is getting married in May 25 and already has spent 10k. Luckily they have already purchased their 1st home...but my motherly advice would be... Find a gorgeous spot rent an arch have an officiate close family & friends makes it more memorable. I heard SOPA so im guessing ur future DIL is Hispanic...in our culture we have Padrinos & Madrinas for things..meaning they are Godparents in a sense for certain items for the wedding. Which takes the cost down substantially..but that also means a larger venue with alot of people. 😮 So how about Garrett tells us what theyre leaning towards...a full on tradional wedding or a simple wedding 🤩 I personally got married in Vegas 25yrs ago...and spent $1500 + my hotel...came home and was still married, still lived in the same house and saved a ton of $$$ 😂 . My vote is save ur $ to purchase a home and live happily ever after ❤

You’re good to go. I made my wedding cake & used fresh flowers cause I’m lousy with frosting flowers. Just depends on how many people are invited how you do it!
