My brother designed me a blue print for a pantry. It is 9 foot × 8and half foot. It is 2 foot deep. I can hold about 200 jars. The shelf's are designed for pints, quarts and half gallons. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT

I love custom made pieces for my home. My husband is like Shawn, where I can tell him what I see and he can build it. Such a blessing of a talent. Off topic, this is coming from a person who like you is a totally from scratch cook but in a super tiny home. If I had that dining room I’d turn it into a butler/ food storage area.
@LittleHillHomesteadGa14 күн бұрын
I’ve thought about it! We actually have a laundry room that was added on and an old hook up in a hall closet. I want to move it to have the laundry room for a panrty but Shawn isn’t a fan of hall washing machine areas.

I love your spice rack! My husband and I did something similar with the dead space we had between our refrigerator and cabinets. I use to tuck my broom in that little area but now it's a better use of the space. Our spice rack is on wheels and we slide it out, use what we need and slide it back in. We just used a larger drawer pull to move it in and out. I love that it's useful and stays out of the way since our kitchen is small. I totally appreciate the fact that it saved the needed space in my cabinets.❤ The only downside is my fear of it tipping over. Common sense, we don't pull it out of the space completely and it works! We can still access everything we need and it doesn't interfere with the refrigerator door at all.😁

What if there was a little pull out? Step for you to stand on that fit. Flush underneath the bottom of your spouse rack so that you could very easily pull it out and stand on it to reach your upper shelves. He would not need a chair anymore. Just a thought

Ali, if you wanted to "shorten" it, you could always remove the legs, remove the baseboard, and re-attach it flush with the wall. It should fit you better then!
@betsysanders452414 күн бұрын
I wouldn’t take the top row out. Personally, I’d cut the base trim out & make the legs shorter. I’d also go from 2 legs to 4 so that it wouldn’t be sitting on the floor.

It’s a great looking spice rack:) I have a huge favor of you??? I had a really old cook book that looks like yours and I have been looking for the spaghetti sauce recipe that I used to make for my mom and daddy when I was growing up up (I’m now 66 years old) both my parents have passed away and I have been looking for this recipe for years, and I have not been able to find the right cookbook:( I’m wondering if there was a way if I could see a picture of the recipe actually the whole page and I would know if it was the right one. I’m more than happy to send you a self addressed envelope that you could maybe send it to me ? I know I’m asking a lot and I really am hoping you can help me:) Ok back to the spice rack I wish I had a large kitchen to have a nice big rack. Tfs and God bless:)
