The only poinsettia we've had in a long time stayed on the mantle, before we put it on our back porch, where it died during a freeze. We have cats, and poinsettias are poisonous, so those flowers are just not really compatible with our family. Of course, having cats, we generally don't have flowers/plants inside at all, because our little friends would have a field day & just make such a mess with the flora! LOL I really love how this card came out, Kelly!!! I think you nailed the coloring, and thank you for all the tutelage this time, re: design rules, etc. I agree with some of the others here--putting the fourth flower under the 3rd keeps the visual triangle "rule" going, since those 2 still read as only one flower grouping. I have to tell you, Mama came home from an apparently very rough afternoon teaching (she's doing long-term subbing for a special needs class). I had more news to give her that was frustrating at best. Probably should have waited to do that, but I didn't realize HOW bad her mood was when I did that. She finally said, "I really need a Kelly video!" So I had this one in the queue, and played it. When it finished, I asked her if she felt better, and she said she did. Possibly not as better as she would have with story time, but I still think good enough! So thank you for lifting us both up. Take care, and have an awesome day! :)

Kelly - your colouring always amazes me. You can see the petals "curling" with every different colour you flick on. I have this BEAUTIFUL stamp set and I just love the shape of the flowers. My least favourite is the first one you coloured - have no idea why, just love the others more and REALLY love the groups / corners - stunning. You haven't even finished the first flower yet, but I just had to tell you about the "curling" of the petals. Also, Annalis Luck is correct - that is how you pronounce amalgam, with the emphasis on the MAL, e.g. ah-MAL-gum. I'm sure I'll have another chapter of a novel to write by the time you have finished this card. Am loving it already. hehehehe. Bev Didn't hit comment so here I am again. Another stunning floral card from you! Glad to see you back, but again, you do what you need to do in your day to day life. Just as an aside...if you're thinking of coming to Chicagoland for any classes, I'd come. You have a wonderful teaching style and of course love the stories! I never knew that the anemone is a Christmas flower. I only have seen poinsettia plants. Regarding plants... I’ve always had plants in my house. I keep them forever. I have a large onion plant- I think it’s called, that I’ve had for about 25 years. I have three orchids that have been in bloom for maybe 5 years or so. I love your coloring.... copics are so expensive... drives me crazy trying to determine which colors to get. I have a little more than 100, and I feel like I’m just about done buying... I still need some reds, BG and more E families...

This is so beautiful! I own 1 comic - a soft gray for shading. I grow a amaryllis every Christmas. These flower would be super pretty as well. My idea of rich would be to have live flowers in my house every day. Just a couple of beautiful bouquets. As usual, wonderful card and video. TFS

I much prefer the anemones to poinsettias. Poinsettias don't survive long where I live. We just don't have the right environment. So I never buy them. I love your card. I recently purchased my first Honey Bee dies, and I LOVE them. I will definitely buy more, Black Friday sale prices or not.

Beautiful card, I think adding the extra flower worked because the two flowers are together so if you think about it, it’s still like 3 items, I loved it after you adding the extra flower, it just worked, sometimes there’s exceptions to the rules.

Lovely card Kelly! I cut some 'fa la la la' die cuts from glitter paper and left them on my craft table. Then found them all down the stairs! Apparently the cat thought they were fair game!

The card is stunning! Rules are there to be broken😉 so, no worries about the rule of "three". I'm not a huge poinsettia lover. The plants always die. I don't know why, my livingroom is full of plants, but poinsettias and I are not a great combo. 😅 In this time of year I love amaryllis flowers. I buy them as bulbs and put them in pots with soil. Or I buy just the stems with flowers and arrange them in all kind of vases. Love them! Especially the red ones when it's around Christmas time.

Need to try the light tombow sticky on my stencils, how do you store them after? All the red anemones I have grown have not been a tomato more true red almost more into blue there are beautiful true blue ones and dark centers

for my eyes, you had two overlapping triangles in your design. one on the left with the three flowers and one on the right with the flowers and the sentiments. at least that's how I see it. much better with the fourth flower. thanks as always for sharing,.
