Wow Kelly, you are so ridiculously talented. Like the flowers were literally blooming before my eyes, you are my inspiration in learning to color, I’ve started my Copic collection and as soon as I have enough, my goal is to be able to color even half as good as you. I also love your stories. I have a friend that their granddaughter was born at 1lb 4 ounces, she’s over 30now, it’s amazing what they can do now with these micro preemies, I can remember seeing her when she was a huge 3 1/2 pounds lol even that was tiny, can’t even imagine how little they are at barely over one pound. Great story.

My daughters were adopted from India . My oldest (now 47) was 1lb 4 ounces when she was born , but she was a full term baby . When she finally got to us she was 21/2 and weighted 14 lbs and 29 inches tall. Makes you really thankful for good medical care in the U.S. that kids like your god daughter have a healthy chance at life. Great card as always

When they told me she wouldn't make it to see 1 & at 3 she would be a vegetable well we took her on a Disney cruise for her graduation present and her 19th Birthday present. Where am I going with this..kids are amazing all of them are special in every single way. Thanks for you story..and your super beautiful card! I almost lost it at the gym while listening to your goddaughter's birth story. I am on the elliptical and luckily the tears look like sweat! I have had several miscarriages and am lucky enough to still have a beautiful daughter and handsome son. Both healthy. Although they both went into fetal stress prior to birth multiple times; and it is super scary. I am so glad that the Lord blesses you and your dear friend with wonderful children and a super friendship!!! Love the card and I especially like the tutorial about the fence! This is so pretty. Makes think “spring!” Oh I am soooo ready for spring. 😊 I’ve said before that you and I have a lot in common. Now it’s really crazy. I ended up on bedrest the last weeks of my pregnancy, too, because of PIH then had an emergency C-section. Everything turned out fine, thankfully. It’s just so funny to me how much we have in common. I’d love to meet you someday and share stories. Anyway, thanks for another great video. I hope your dinner and visit with your friends was great!

Beautiful card, I truly appreciate you giving such wonderful explanations about your techniques, it’s so inspiring, too. Also, great story time regarding your best friend Daedra, I couldn’t help but laugh about your tooth comment to her, children are so brutally honest and have no problems vocalizing their thoughts! Working with pediatrics I’ve heard a number of hilarious “whoopsies”, as their parent or caretaker contemplates crawling under the table to hide! Hoping you all had a great dinner and visit! ❤️

Love the card. My God Daughter ( Rachel, 24) was a premie she was just a little over two pounds when she came home. I was visiting Mom and baby when Dad called needing a drive home (don't remember why). My friend turns to me and says, great you stay with Rachel while I go get him. She was so tiny and I had zero babysitting experience! I was probably alone with the baby for 20 minutes, but it felt like hours. I remember chanting this over and over in my head while holding her .... Please don't die, please don't die.

Hey Kelly.....serious question if you have time to answer. I just purchased a bunch of copics and already had sets from before. I am just so intimidated to use them. I have the hex chart but don’t know how to make combos. Should I just get all the Altenew markers? They seem so much easier to know the right combinations. Thanks! 😊
@candacekieper43545 жыл бұрын
I have both copics seem to blend so much better made my own color chart and go by shades I want!
@KellyTaylorCards5 жыл бұрын
I pretty much stick to the same favorite combinations but really you have to let yourself play. Not coloring something for a project or an intricate design. Just draw some squares and start seeing what works together. There isn't a wrong answer. If you don't have time to do that you can google copic color combinations and people have loads they share. If you want mine just pause the videos when I hold them up. Don't be scared, you'll be great :) The Altenew markers are good but if you already own the copics use what you have!
@kimshaw13485 жыл бұрын
Kelly Latevola thank you so much for your time. I don’t know why I get so scared to try new things. I use watercolor and zigs and love them. Comics just seem daunting. I will give it a go!!!

Haha, I still have my daughter’s Hansen CD and occasionally play MBOP!🤣. I love all sorts of music. This card is great. Are you happy with the Altenew markers? I like that they have bullet/brush tips, but haven’t taken the plunge yet. I know Copic is your marker of choice, but very curious about these. Thanks!😊
@suellyn5575 жыл бұрын
I am very new at card making and have discovered you and your coloring, plus your amazing stories. My question also goes along with Linda Gorun's, Since I am a beginner what brand and type would you recommend? I already do some water coloring which is a bit tricky with blending. If I were to invest in artist markers where should I start?
@KellyTaylorCards5 жыл бұрын
These are a great alternative to copic markers. The color palette is still growing but often times people are less intimidated because their are less choices. Altenew pretty much has a 4 color blend for each color in the sets. Most sets include 3 color families. Copic is still my preferred but if you're starting out these are a great option.
@KellyTaylorCards5 жыл бұрын
@suellyn I'd start with the set that carries the colors you'd use most. Color flowers go with A it includes the greens. Like to color animals go with either D or E they have lots of neutrals.

Just a couple of seconds into the video and I had to pause. When you said, "This video is a couple of days..." my brain filled in the next word as, "Long. This video is a couple of days long." Makes no sense, but that's how my crazy brain works. Thought it was funny, though. Imagine a video that long. Hmm, maybe I should make one? Nah, I can't even take a descent still photo, so no video from me.
