Freewing T-33 Shooting Star 80mm EDF Jet Performance Flight

If you have seen our maiden flight video, you know just how much we love the T-33. Now here is a video where Boozer has gotten used to flying this jet and he will show you some of the capabilities it has. He lands with full, half, and no flaps. He shows how well it flies inverted, and several other aerobatics it can do.

Solid flying, Wes! As I said on Hobby Squawk, his 80mm T-33 flies like our 90mm Venom. Wide envelope and easy to see, yet easier to land than the Venom. You show it off well!

.... venom is still my absolute favorite EDF but this one is definitely a close second. The T-33 is definitely better to look at and the performance is intoxicating. Can’t wait to put more packs through her

I have my elevator cut down just a bit although I do like my planes a bit more sensitive than others 80% on a spectrum radio. My cg with whatever I run in the plane is right on the molded CG mark under the wing it’s perfect 👌

Is it alright to use this Eagle A3-L V2 Axis Airplane gyro for all of 80mm jet edf like 86 SAbre? Can I use this also for my Mustang P-51 Old Crow 1450mm?

Just my 2 cents on choosing between the T-33, L-39, Avanti S, and the Viper as a first jet. They all fly wonderful. If you feel confident with your ability to land then all 4 are a good choice and you’re basically choosing between what looks best to you. If your landings aren’t the best, the Viper sadly has to leave the conversation. The wire struts bend easily and the wings can develop a nasty crack in the main gear wheel wells. All 3 of the Freewing models have excellent gear struts to handle less than perfect landings, and they can also handle grass ops with ease. And the Freewing models can all fly with a wider selection of battery sizes. The Viper you pretty much max out at 6S 4000. I would personally go with one of the Freewing models as my first EDF, and pick which one looks the best to you. They all fly amazing! I know you didn’t ask me, but hey we all have opinions. 😁 Good luck!

@@TheRCAirMarshall Well Dave, I respect your opinion as much as Ryan's, Wesley or any of the other guys in our "Pack". You guys are already flying these jets and have delt with the issues that have surfaced with them. The Vipers landing gear has had my attention since it showed up and is why I didn't jump on it. I'll tell you this, the Avanti is more to my liking than the T-33 and I've never heard a negative comment about it. We fly off a hard, compacted dirt runway so gear is going to be an issue. I do have experience with warbirds and planes like the V900, The Efxtra and a few other 100mph planes. So, I think I'm ready. Shit, I can almost taste it. 👅👍 So, thanks for your input Dave. ✈
