When was this filmed? Mid or late 90s? Wow, no stab vests. The old Ford Fiesta. The old livery of Merseyside Police. I'm guessing this is before the introduction of PCSOs. Probably when they were enough police on duty.

Takes me back to my time at Copy Lane 1992-1994, in the days when the public understood and respected the role of the Police, and most of all understood that once the Police were invovled that the end of the road had been reached.

The type of "policing" carried out by the "Happening Boys" I doubt would be part of police culture today. The other officer that worked alone seemed to have a much better approach to what must be a difficult job.

I observed her place an item with a value of £1.89 under her coat? 😱😂. Imagine that happening 2day? Get nicked 4 wasting police time,if a shoplifter is detained as they attempt 2 leave store without payment 4 goods in their possession and cops r called, unless the value of said goods exceeds £200 then they won't bother 2 attend. If it's 4-5 bottles of spirits worth between £80-100 they find on shoplifter they will take goods back, ban the thief from the store and all other shops of asda/tesco/Morrison's etc but not call old bill.

I will add this video on my social net page and add that the Merseyside accent is the most difficult British English accent. 3:25 PS all these accents are killing the idea of an international language. One can only rack their brains if they are not native speakers.
