We used to come back to the States in summers from Maracaibo, Venezuela, and Mom would buy our nice clothes and shoes for the next year at Mervin Kahn's.

My great grandmother is the lady helping the customers worked there all her life. I actually have 2 old receipts from there.

Mervine Kahn was in Rayne, not Crowley. Wish they would correct the caption on this video. My mom, Virginia Meyer, was a seamstress there. She passed away in 1994 not long after this video was made.
