Great video of a marvellous gun, I am fortunate enough to own 2, although living in the UK I'm not allowed to fire anything through them, both in 44 Merwin & Hubert, the proprietary calibre that was made by them back in the day. One is open top and the other has a top strap and is double action.

Very cool revolvers They were so well machined thus pricy. I handled a mint condition engraved one while I was working at Lock Stock and Barrel. .44WCF isn't hard to reload. There is one extra step: case lubing before re sizing, but that's it. Switching to a .44 mag bell die fixes the case crushing problem. Original .44WCF bullets were .427, modern ones are .428, so a slightly wider bell fixes the problem. I've been reloading .44-40 for SASS for years and don't crush cases. Santee, I was tickled that you met my pard Brother Tom at the WBWFF a few weeks ago. In case you were wondering, even though I'm now an award winning director, we can still be friends!!! Hope to see you along the trail soon. The Scoundrels are very busy over the next few months. We have California Days coming up at Calico in Feb...I'm pretty sure the 17th and 18th. Interestingly, the M&H was the official service sidearm of the Spanish Army around the turn of (XIX) century because they were deemed better than all others, but since it was quite expensive and officers were allowed to provide their own sidearms, most did choose cheaper revolvers to the point that almost none of the M&Hs were actually used in the 1898 war with the US.
