I bought the Big Iron 100 watt version...4 glowing 6L6's baby...And swapped the chickenhead knobs to white round radio style. You can see pictures on the Mesa Boogie Forum. Mesa Rules~!!!

There’s a knob with the word REVERB under it......which is a bit of a giveaway.

I thought Mesa Boogie were famous for higher gain sounds, but with this amp the clean tones are lovely and I’m not a big fan of the overdriven tones.

Mesa have some amazing clean amps! The Filmore, Lonestar, their Mark series have both amazing warm clean tones and great overdrive. Their newest amp, the California Tweed is one of the nicest clean amps I've played, up there with the Suhr Bella and Two Rock.

this rtpw of Amp is meant for the Texas vibe thing again. medium gain. it's not intended to sound like the hi gain ones like the mark 1-4 or the double and triple rectifier ones. those r ur hi gain "cascading gain" thing jp

Harsh! To be honest we usually just pick the guitars in the studio that work well for purposes of the demo but we’ll take wardrobe malfunctions into account as well in future 😉

I'd have to agree. I like the pushed clean sound around the 2:30 minute mark. The more that the gain is increased, the less I like it.
