@@tinpenny4474 I’ve been eyeing the Mark V since now that i’ve gotten good enough to actually make good use of it i want a better amp, is it eq sensitive? And is it versatile?

fantastic playing and what an amp! I have 20+ year old dual rectifier but I am thinking of getting a Filmore 50 head. My style has changed and I would love spring reverb

I'm first! Yo Mesa! I own three. Road King v2 head w 2x12 Road King Cab (need another), Electra Dyne 2x12 (one V30 one C90), and the new TC-100 Head with 2x12 upright slant top cab. I love Mesa! Peace. D

I'm a Mesa guy too since forever. I have a Stiletto Trident head, 2x12 cab (v30s), and 1x12 cab (EV12L). Back in the late 80s/early 90s I had a Mk 1 combo and then a Rectifier half-stack.
@dvincentblack4 жыл бұрын
@@evanward4303 hey, that's really cool! Yes I've had earlier boogie's, as well. In fact, the one I should have never sold was the Mark 3 Simulclass "green stripe" head, and 2x12 upright slant face cab w the celestion black shadow open back top, and evm bottom sealed and ported with that big metal grill. Should have never sold them. I need THAT tone back. Lol. Peace.

@@dvincentblack Yeah... the one that got away, right? I feel the same about the Mark 1. Cream colored original early 70s (non graphic eq), EV loaded, 60/100 watts, with road case. It's probably a collector's item nowadays.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say you’re too old to be telling other people how to dress. There are no rules and one of the biggest things to learn in life is to be comfortable in your own skin and look however you want to. Kinda sad that your biggest take away from the video is judging how someone else dresses.

Yeah, agreed. Has that typical Mesa boom that on some of the amps can be tricky to dial in. They can have a pronounced fundamental hump that feels too separated from the rest of the sound so getting a sound that pushes in the chest as opposed to shake your feet can be tough. It’s why recto’s are tough to record. The huge bass is more like a sub than a cohesive thumping guitar tone. A 57 will just shelve those lows and you’ll wonder why it sounds so thin on “tape” vs what you have in the room sound. I will say my MKV has a great low end that really thumps (especially CH1 and ch2) but my T-Verb and Quad Pre get more of that sub bass thing. If I run the quad pre into the MKV return and set the MKV to ch3 and extreme it becomes a thumper.
