Shane ....you have the patience of a Saint!!!! Obviously "please be quiet and let me listen" doesn't work for Georgi ( butso so funny). By now I would have gaffer taped up his mouth or invested in some high quality ear muffs!!!! Anyway ESC WHOOP! is the best . glad it's back......I laughed throughout. As for the songs......nothing really stood out for me .....all a bit mmm...it's ok but no WOWs!! Doesn't Malta have a tendency to change the final song and not always for the better. Hope you enjoy your hosting duties in Italy..... just count to 10 and breath deeply!!! Have fun.

Mela is a Maltese word like saying ‘yeah yeah’. What you are referring to Mela in Italian is an apple in Italian but in his song he is referring to the Maltese word ‘yeah yeah’.

Hello again you two funny people. 🙂 What passion and drive Georgi has who travels to Shane to engage him. It's sweet. I can relate to trying to "persuade" Shane about how good a song is. Maybe not with exactly the same intensity😉🤩. But it can happen to my family members☺️. It's our passion! But it doesn't always help that far because in the end it's their opinion that counts. About MESC, I must admit that this time my favorite is not obvious. That's because I found the songs lacking that little something extra to reach the absolute top. Please note, this does not apply to the vocal quality, because there are some extremely talented singers here who deserve an even better song. For example Gail, Lisa, Ryan, Michela Galea (did not go through) etc. I almost gave up at semi 2, but it got more promising towards the end. Totally agree with Shane that the studio looks very amateurish. Completely static, like a "neon" bar somewhere with the big sign XOW behind, reminiscent of something taken from a comic book (excuse me). It clashes with the brilliance of the artists, so that they don't get to shine in their full potential. My winner will still be Lisa Gauci, because of her fantastic singing quality, emotion and expression. The song is good, but lacks that little something extra in my opinion. Though, I am so fascinated by seeing and hearing her sing that I am reconciled to it. The same thoughts apply to Erba who is probably my second place. The song is okay and they are interesting together, but here too something is missing and vocally they are not one hundred percent. Ryan is my third. Personally, I would have included Christian Arding "Bellus" in the final. Because I like these tones, the song is very reminiscent of a classic Italian ballad. He sings very well and I get a feel good feeling, possibly too dated and not competitive but still 🙂 Hope you have a nice time in Milan! 💖💖🎄🎀

Aaaah, when Georgi told me he had come to visit you I was wondering if we was gonna be getting an ESC Whoop episode 😍 You two have such great chaotic energy together which I just love as well, great to see you smiling so much Shane 😁 Ooooh, I was wondering when we were going to get a Malta reaction too, I have opinions, first of all they booted the best song of the lot in the Semi-Finals, so I am not best pleased about that. JUSTICE FOR 'BEWSA' (you need to check it out Shane)😆 'Loop' - I like the song, I think I will prefer it much more on a bigger stage, with a bigger performance. At the moment it just feels a bit too 'low budget Chanel for me' 'Karma' - At first I wasn't crazy about it, but it has grown on me with repeated listens. With an effective revamp I could see this doing an Ochman, but as it is I worry it is too similar to Uku Suviste. But if they want a safe choice this is the one to go for 'Ghost' - I agree, his entry last year was better, this is just pleasant but nothing more, the chorus is very bland too 'Venom' - I agree with Georgi, I really do like her, but I am not massively crazy about the song. Hopefully she can come back with something stronger next time around 'Banana' - I do love this one I have to admit, it is just bonkers crazy and I feel that this needs to be the one that Malta sends. It is a risk, as it could end up flopping like 'Eat Your Salad' did, but I think it is a risk Malta need to take 'Breathe' - This is my underrated gem amongst the field. I reallly like this one, it is totally unsuited for Eurovision, but I just really enjoy it a lot, I knew I could rely on you Shane 😍 'Man' - Loving the comments of him being cheesey, I kinda get that too. I am not crazy about the song tho, Shane, I think you may be drunk at this point 🤪 'Tell Me That It's Over' - It's a nice ballad, but something about it is just missing to make it stick with me like 'Breathe' does 'Topic (Bla Bla)' - I am with Georgi on this one, I really love and enjoy this one. Amongst some stuff I am not crazy about this one really stands out for me 'Wild Card' - Awww, sorry Georgi, I don't like this one at all, I think I am kinda similar to Shane on this one, this is kinda lacking a melody that hooks me in. Also for me it's too much shouting 'Sirena' - That side eye you gave Georgi when he mentioned about the harmonising well together was epic Shane 🤣 As for the song, I really don't like their vocals when the sing individually, but it is a bit better when singing together. Like you Shane, the 'La La La's' are a bit of a no-no for me, and it detracts from the song. That said, it is growing on me somewhat and I could see an audience for it at Eurovision 'Mara' - For me this isn't on a par with 'Boy' which was probably my favourite from 2022. This doesn't quite do it for me, and I feel the only reason I kinda feel it is because it is Denise more than anything My Top 5 1 - Matt Blxck - 'Banana' 2 - Lisa Gauci - 'Breathe' 3 - Ryan Hili - 'Karma' 4 - Greta Tude - 'Topic (Bla Bla)' 5 - Denise - 'Mara'
