Messerschmitt 109 Flypasts AMAZING DAIMLER-BENZ ENGINE SOUND!

Flypasts by Messerschmitt 109 "Red 7" with clean Daimler-Benz engine sounds and no commentary or music.
"Red 7" is a conversion of a Spanish Buchon aircraft that originally had a Rolls Royce Merlin Engine and featured in the "Battle of Britain" movie. It was subsequently converted to a Messerschmitt 109 G4 with a Daimler Benz 605A engine fitted. This was recorded in 2015 at the Flying Legends Airshow at Duxford in the UK.

Just imagine what she'd sound like with an Allison PT6 installed. This airplane is one of the top fighters of WWII, and it instilled fear in many who fought against it.

Wundabar ! Saw "Black 6 (?) " many years ago with a MK lX in company . It was some while before l could tell one V12 from the other but the Daimler -Benz was slightly softer but as we can hear in this clip the supercharger was more distinctive. I only became recently aware that, because of the lower octanes available in Germany , the DB 601 required 7 litres more than the Merlin to produce the same power . Is that John Romain ? beautifully flown .
